Insurance, my direct income, is always good

Manufacturing and trade schools, my indirect income, are split. Trade schools good, manufacturing is hitting the usual presidential election slow down.

We're in a weird spot. Schools don't spend money in January and February so when you divide our projected Gross Profit by 12 it looks like we're not going to make it.

But I'm busier than any other time of year in these months basically sowing into a big harvest May through December.

So I'm really busy, but not making any money.

The day job will always be good, as there's never a shortage of bad guys.

Moonlighting software development is stagnant. Not BAD at all, but it hasn't taken off like it did in my dreams.

My respects to the working men and women, but things in the retirement community are really really slow.

Pretty good actually, catfish prices are at record highs with feed and fuel costs being low.

Firearms. January always rocks, and it did again. 1Q just started to slow down this past week, which is a little early. 4Q was good+.

Price point (cheap stuff) sells. It's all about self defense this days. Collectors have been sitting on the sidelines since 2008. 75% of hunters don't buy because they are super cheap. Target shooters have been holding back for a couple years.

I don't think the current "gas savings" is being used to buy firearms. It's going to rent/mortgage, medical or car payments.

One thing about those Dem's, their big mouths sell guns.

In Med devices so there is never gonna be a shortage of TBIs and tumors. Obamacare is making a killing for insurance companies but hitting hospitals/device companies hard. Like all other people, I am watching my C-suite types rake it in while my income has been basically stagnant even though I have grown sales by 300% in 4 years.....this shite sucks

I'm an attorney. Where I live in SC there's enough business for us all. I work in a small firm where it's just myself and the managing partner and we just bought a new building because we're doing so well.

Biggest backlog of orders we've had in 25 years (Granted, that was long before I worked here). Manufacturing looks good, building materials seem to be on the up and up.

I work in Healthcare so business is always pretty good. Oddly enough, my current position was created in response to the ACA(Obamacare) which has allowed me to do very well financially.

My online shops are doing well. One is up about 30%, and the other is up over 100%. I can't compete with Amazon on general sales, so I have to keep adding new stuff that no one else has.

My core business in Silicon Valley is pretty strong right now, but it is a leapfrog business, and we are running like crazy to stay ahead. There is almost 0 customer loyalty these days.
