re: Gwyneth Paltrow has aged well

It's nothing really. A family member owned the house where The Great Santini and The Big Chill were filmed. I was invited to spend a couple of days on the set of The Great Santini at the time. Pat Conroy was also an acquaintance of my father's although he was rarely there. Gwenith was a child at the time, although older than my daughters. But she was a precious, although somewhat pretentious, child IMHO. But the girls played ... the rest of the story is inconsequential. Steve eventually sold the house but not until after Tom Berenger was married there ... nice guy. Sent Steve a nice silver tea set as a thank you gift.

We spent many a very pleasant and memorable family vacation in that house. Good times.

I shouldn't have mentioned it. Lesson learned.

Somewhere I read she doesn't like to wear deodorant and often smells pretty bad.

Who bought the house?

I honestly do not remember. We still have a picture of the house hanging in the family room here ... and I used to know who bought it but I honestly do not remember any longer. My memories are fading somewhat, which is perhaps an explanation for my propensity to want to share them lately. I need to get that in check obviously.

I'm having dinner with Steve, Thursday night, I'll ask him.
