In my hometown the private school was for racists. So the opposite would be true.

The same reason my mom's was in OKC?(Heritage Hall where Wes Welker went).

The answer is integration.

K-6: Public
7-9: Private
10-12: Public

I saw more alcohol, drugs, catfights(hair was pulled out), and general stupidity in my freshman year of private school than any other year.

I was raised in a small town with four elementary schools, one jr. high, and one high school. All we had were public schools.

Public. Public schools > private schools in the area I grew up in. Private schools were for kids with overprotective parents or kids that got kicked out of public school. Georgia gets a lot of hate for its school system, but it's really inner city areas and super rural South Georgia that drag down the test scores. Public schools in the Atlanta suburbs are great.

They won the "Best All Around Sports Program" in 4A last year... Never go home that often considering I live just an hour and a half away but I saw the banner hanging outside the high school last time I was there...

Public.

So glad I went to a diverse school where I didn't have to learn about Christian mythology.

Way better improvement weather wise. What's in-state tuition look like in the states at a main university?

UT was $2.5k a semester, somewhere around there. But they offer a lottery scholarship, where anyone in Tennessee with a 3.0gpa in high school gets $3k, and I received various other scholarships, so I didn't pay a dime.
