So am I, but

Grits > Taters

That said, only idiots seem to like Stove Top. Never served in our house EVER!

Taters = vodka
Grits = bourbon

I really don't like grits at all but that's probably because my parents are northeastern transplants and I've never had good ones.

I can't have a meal without some form of potato.

How often do you have a meal without some form of corn? Is it even possible for this to happen?

Maybe I've never had good grits, but at least hashbrowns have a flavor to them

You've probably only had garbage instant grits. I can eat mine plain because I make perfect grits. Most people add flavor though. Cheese, sugar, brown sugar (one of my favorites), pepper. One I haven't seen mentioned is to add jelly to your grits.

I like hashbrowns, but if there is a choice then I'll eat grits all day, erryday. If I get both then I'll mix them together.

Now I want breakfast food. 3 eggs over-easy, cheese grits, biscuit with white sausage gravy on the side, and some good bacon

are you sure?

booze and soft drinks have corn in them

most meat is fed some form of corn

hamburger patties usually have some corn added to them
french fries are cooked in corn oil
fast food often has corn filler
chicken nuggets had corn added to make them cheaper
soda has corn sweetener
ketchup is made with corn syrup
pudding has corn in it
fruit juice has corn syrup
yogurt has corn syrup
salad dressing usually have some corn derivatives in them
soups often have corn starch added
baking powder has corn in it
gravy often has corn starch as an ingredient
mayonaise and peanut butter have corn products in them
milk has corn in it

There was once a company call Corn products Corp and reading their annual report always fascinated me at just how many things in the food chain have corn in them.

Grits are good if they are gussied up enough (cheese, sausage etc.) Just plain, they are just that - kind of plain.

I do like me some hashbrown potaters too, um humm.

Actually had cheese grits and eggs for dinner. Was the old fashion kind that take 20 minutes to cook. Not that crap they serve these days.

Grits with a bit of brown cinnamon sugar FTW.

TiM....wtf? If you need to put sugar or some other sweetening agent in your grits you might as well eat fricking Cream of Wheat Butter, salt and pepper and hot sauce are the only acceptable condiments for the delicious grit.

Grits are always better than hashbrowns, end of story.

Actually, I do know several people that put grape jelly in their grits. This is wrong and frowned upon by God.

Grits go great with almost anything, and can be eaten at any part of the day.

Hashbrowns, not so much.

Grits. Surprised at the people saying they put something sweet on it. Butter and salt with a little black pepper.
