Nah, I've used my short time in the USAF to brush up on my Assholian, so I like my chances of passing as one of Them

As long as you're fluent in it you will be fine, and make sure your bullshite game is on point. It makes the world go round.

Need to put in more time in the film room on my bullshite game. Great at written bullshite, but the oral bullshite game is weak

Take a long vacation. See the country before you start on your next endeavor.

Well, Imma count terminal leave as my official vacay and wifey and I are going to Disney for a good long stay for our anniversary this summer, so some time off is definitely in the works

Strangely enough, though, I'm not super interested in doing a bunch of traveling at this point. Was a military brat growing up so I've seen/done a lot around the country. What freaks me out is how I'll feel after having settled down after like 3 years.

One of my old Army buddies was let go for the same reason, after being in for 14 years. He was pissed.

Yeah i figured they'd get me sooner or later anyways. Glad it was sooner tbh. Seen too many horror stories like what happened to your Army buddy in the short time I've been in

If you don't mind me asking ... you're leaving as an O2 after serving your commitment term of what, six years?

What happened with the ankle? Service related injury? Any combat time TBird?

Any thoughts or good vibes y'all have for me as I transition over the next few months will be much appreciated. Praying the job market is kind to me
As mentioned earlier, move back to Texas. I separated from the AF in 2013 and was able to find a job in SA. I applied for jobs in Baton Rouge, but I am happy they didn't call me. I love Louisiana, but Texas has the jobs and the money.

You can't be a six year O-2 anymore rooster. It's not the same as when you were in.

You cannot make O3 in six years or under these days, can you?

You make it sooner than that. Not sure how the AF is but I bet it's the same as the Army. First look in the zone is at 3 years and you pin at four. If you get passed you get looked at again at four as above the zone, if you miss it then you're out as an O-2 at just over five.
