It is. Grey is becoming less used and younger generations are confused when older generations use it. That's my theory, at least.

It really is. I wish Noah Webster and company, when they were creating American English, had changed the spelling for words such as pneumonia, pneumatic and the like. Neumonia would be so much more logical. They considered it, at least. They also considered changing the spelling for words having ph in their spellings. Imagine visiting Filadelfia.
