When I quit I missed it everyday. I love it. If I get drunk it only gets worse.

Smoking is the same. One other thing that people mess up on, is doing the same things and same behavior that fostered the want for a smoke/dip. May try to change and stay away from those things until it's under control. Nicotine is out of the system in 3 days. It's all mind after that.

Yep. I'll still get the urge to light up when I'm really stressed.

After eating was my toughest, and driving down the road. Took a bit to get used to not having one in my left hand while driving.

The worst time I want a dip is right after eating. So unless I go anorexic I'll just have to fight it

I never had any crazy side effects. I only took the first round of pills too. I was good after a month. I really think my newborn son made it easier. I'd be damned if he was going to be around second hand smoke.

Yep. There's nothing else to do while driving. On the positive, I haven't had a vehicle with burn stains on the weatherstripping in a longgggg time.

Nicotine and caffeine free for almost 9 years now.

Side note: if they accidently give me caffeinated coffee instead of decaf, I get the worst headache and literally can't function for about an hour or so. Caffeine is fricking awful.

Is there any indication for chantix in smokeless tobacco users?

It works the same for smokeless tobacco to my knowledge. I took it for a few weeks but realized I was giving a half-hearted attempt, so I just kept dipping.

I didn't really have any side effects other than making my stomach feel weird, not queasy, just not normal. I never felt depressed or anything like that.

Did you have any weird dreams while taking it?

I swear I dreamed about the weirdest shite when I tried taking it for a couple weeks. It was like my dreams were on acid. I was also extremely agitated by the smallest little things. I remember punching a wall because my dog barked inside the house.

ETA: Sorry didn't read the whole thread, just hit reply when I saw your post.

Buddy of mine said the same. He also avoided contact with me for a few weeks while he went through withdraws. Apparently, I'm a "trigger"

I successfully quit dipping a almost a year ago. Still smoke like a Teamster though.

I dipped for about 7 years, quit my senior year of college. I was going through about about a can of dip every day and a half; it was getting expensive and I don't need help getting cancer with my family history. Decided to quit one day, never dipped again.

Still enjoy a really nice cigar once in a blue moon. Other than that I've never really been a smoker.

I smoked for 10 years, quit about 7 years ago. I slowly decreased how frequently I had a cigarette until eventually i could just stop. It took small goals at a time for me, as in set a lower goal every couple of week how man cigarettes you would allow yourself to have in a day or a week, then make that goal less and less at a rate which you can meet that goal.

I started dipping right before college and dipped a can a day for the next several years. I quit for about a year or 2, then after the Arkansas game in 2010 I was driving home and so pissed I just said "frick it, I want a dip" and have been using tobacco since. I typically use camel snus more often since it's technically a little "less bad" for you, and hella more convenient.

But I keep saying I want to quit I've just never gotten real serious about it yet. When I quit the first time, I just forced myself not to buy any. I laughed at people who were addicted because I was like "it's simple dummy, just don't buy it". But obviously it's not that simple. I have found that if you can just go about 5 days without it, it gets MUCH easier from there.
