Do you tip when paying for takeout?

As the title suggests, do you tip? If so, how much? Do you do so all the time or only under certain circumstances?

If I go there regularly I'll throw in an extra dollar every order. I don't see takeout warranting anymore.

I don't tip, if I go to Dominos to pick up pizza, but pretty much any other take-out, I will leave at least a few bucks.

Roughly 10% for take-out (something cheap then I round up, something expensive then I may round down).

If they take the time to show me everything is in the bag I leave them 2 dollars.. If they just hand it to me I don't tip.

Yes, usually a couple dollars depending on what I'm picking up. IMO you're tipping service and while it isn't to the extent of a waiter waiting on your table there is some prep for a take out order.

yep, if it's a place I frequent. They provide me food when Im too lazy to make my own, they deserve a tip.

nope, and i dont ever order takeout (much less eat in restaurants) to avoid the guilt of not tipping for a service that should be included. how sad is that?

When I get takeout, I'll usually sit at the bar and have a beer or two whiel I wait for the order, so yes I tip.
