I recently bought a membership card at books a million and I got like 3 free trial issues of 3 different mags. I am thinking about keeping the time mag coming when it ends. When I am not reading a book or browsing the web I enjoy reading magazines. Are there any I am missing out on? I don't really like pro sports or the SI issues I have gotten but I would be interested in world news, science or physics if there are some good ones.

Better homes and gardens and SI for the kid.

I looked at that new app they advertise and I think it's a waste.

Gray's, Runners World, and Garden & Gun at the office. I think I'll get Outside soon. Good reads.

None currently. Thinking I'll get a subscription to The Economist eventually, though.

Scientific American and Nature are owned by the same company but Nature tends to publish edgier science articles. It's also more technical and uses more science jargon. Scientific American targets the educated lay public but refuses to appease any group.

SA is my favorite followed closely by NatGeo. NatGeo is trending strongly towards photography lately. Really entertaining if you're into that.

NatGeo is probably the best magazine/research organization in the world. I've subscribed since I was a teenager. I can't think of a single negative regarding NatGeo. I strongly recommend the magazine to anyone from any walk of life.

American Rifleman

Men's Health....I have no fricking clue why I get this every month. I never signed up to get it nor do I pay for it, but I've been getting it for 3 or 4 years now.

My brother bought me a subscription to Adventure Cyclist for Christmas. First subscription I've had in decades. And my last unless someone buys me another one.

If I could read only 3, this might be my short list

American Rifleman from the NRA is all.

Back before Internet I had several. Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Easy Riders, Reader's Digest, Playboy (when it was worth having)and a few different gun magazines.

I (my neighbor actually) get Smithsonian and some other magazine.

I leave them in his mailbox when I'm done.
