I must be in the minority, because I have yet to find anything at Starbucks that blows my skirt up. Overrated and overpriced imho.

I drink coffee at home where I can drink it correctly. I grind beans before every brew so the natural oils stay intact. While starbucks coffee is absolutely terrible in store (unless disquised in sugar and cream like cheap sauce on a fine steak) they still have pretty good whole beans you can buy in your local grocery. I prefer Dunkin brand beans but its nice to mix it up now and then. My local Kroger also has a bean mix where they have dried coconut and another nut mixed in. You can grate things like orange peal or cinnamon stick into the grinder with your beans before you grind it together. Remember to used filtered water because tap water can affect the taste.

Saw this on yahoo the other day:

For an instant whipped cream topping you can try yourself shak up a small batch of milk in a small sealed container 1/2 milk 1/2 air for 30 seconds then toss in microwave for 30 second. Then you can use a spoon to block the foamy top while you pour a bit of the milk in and use the spoon to put the whipped topping on top. A bit of cinnamon probably helps.

BTW most keurigs are crap and are just a way to make you pay more for a cup. the coffee is pregrinded therefore essential oils are lost.

DD within 100 miles of me.

We just got one here a couple of years ago, my only issue with them is they are slow as shite at the drive thru, so I usually stick with the McD's.

Burger King has the best coffee in the fast food world. Unless they changed it in the past year. Haven't been to one in a while.

i finally had DD a few weeks back in Flagstaff. It was pretty legit. was pretty disappointed with the actual donuts themselves. i actually only live about 30 minutes from one, but just never seem to pass by it if i'm in Austin or Waco.

i'll stick with shipley (who does have pretty good coffee, Community i think)

and i'm glad to see the starbucks hate here. my wife does get some iced coffee, sweetened with cream and it's pretty tasty, but i want to be kicked in the balls by my coffee. not snuggled in to an overly gay sense of hipsterness.

not that there's anything wrong with that.

being gay that is.

Starbucks does make the best lattes(yes, I do love an afternoon latte when it's cold outside), at least among the national chains. There's a local place that makes incredible ones.

That's about the only thing worth going into a Starbucks for. The people in there make me want to go on a murder spree.
