and there are states in the SEC where Claire McCaskill couldn't even get elected dogcatcher. So when you wonder if this could happen at "any school", you have to look at the culture, values, and climates of those schools and states.

pretty much EVERY state in the SEC has had a Democrat Gov or Senator recently, so that part of your statement is not really true.

In other news, I heard gingers are greatly upset with the all red Starbucks cups.

Gingers really need to unite. If there is one thing to walk away with amidst this situation, just bitch and moan and you will get what you want!

And another point I'd like to make.

This whole debacle is almost as funny as that 'black' chick who got called out by her OWN DAMN family for being white.

Also, I bet Butler watched too much Higher Education growing up. I bet he idolized Omar Epps in that horribly, shitty movie.

Alabama hasn't had a Dem. senator in over 20 years, and hasn't had a Dem. governor in ten. Anyone aligned with the Obama agenda wouldn't have a snowball's chance of getting elected. So yeah, Clair McCaskill would have zero chance of getting elected in Alabama.

Ok,what exactly happened?Do we KNOW what actually happened?Swastika in the bathroom?Sorry,no pictures or any other evidence other than hear say from a dorm RA who claims he never saw it in person nor did he see a picture.

N-word?Once again pretty flimsy evidence other than he said and he said.Any corrobrating witnesses to this?

So exactly what did happen?

If you haven't read it, go read the thread on the OT. It's around 50 pages and last night was extremely entertaining.

Quite eye opening to the the mob mentality and how quickly it can spread via social media. The story became more fantastic as it rolled along.

The saddest part is the fact that the hysteria will probably be ignored in favor of validating the faux threats to safety on the Mizzou campus.

Yeah, but you guys allowed Bear Bryant's idiot son to shut down the UAB football program over petty personal vendettas. That's quite the scarlet letter you get to wear. Why haven't people in Bama slapped that idiot for being such a doosh? That event was devastating to those kids.

(and you bribe the SEC office and the refs)

I am not sure I understand why this rubs you guys the wrong way. Is he supposed to be more tolerant of racism on campus because his father made a lot of money? Wouldn't that just make him a sell out?

Because he is a whiny privilaged person who is bullying people into quitting by making people believe he has been oppressed in his rich fantasy world. Bitch, please! I grew up in the hood, faced racism, and had people tell me I couldn't do go to college based on my ethnicity. Yet I grew past that without acting like a fricking baby in front of the national media. I've seen racist turn into MLK worshipers when you shine the almighty dollar to their face. So his money has not only opened doors for him, but it has given him more opportunities than most people on this board (white, black or brown).

Life is cruel and if we were to hunger strike every problem society has, we'd solve our obesity problem real fricking quick. Life is tough and racism is real, so deal with it. As a minority, I've learned that racism isn't the only type of hate, so people just have to learn that not everyone is going to like you, no matter what. The world isn't perfect and we can't all kumba-ya like some of these idiots wish we could. The reality here is that they just cost a man his job and have placed a negative light on their community. They haven't achieved shite except save money on food and tricked a few white people who need a 'feel-good' trip to go along with their shite. You want to see real oppression? Go to Africa, central America, or the Middle East. While they are in college choosing to go on hunger strikes, there are kids there who are also starving themselves, but not by choice. Now that's motherfricking systematic oppression! The entitlement of this country is absurd.

I think there is a lot of history in this country which completely flies in the face of what you are suggesting.

Folks don't need to "go to Africa, Central America, or the Middle East" to experience these things. There is ample evidence from the last few years alone that we do not live in a post-racial society. I find it interesting how any suggestion to the contrary gets a lot of southern white guys frothing at the mouth...

Maybe you can address their various grievances then, and take apart their claims of being discriminated against, since they have brought examples of that forward.

People are sick of this shite. You people repeat the same crap over and over, making stupid generalizations then scream "racism" when anyone else does the same. I'll bet you're a fat white chick, age 21.

I am afraid you have classified me incorrectly. And for the record, "liberalism gone mad" annoys me just as much as the next rational person. However, when I see this level of anger and backlash about a racial issue it gives me pause.
Living here you learn to read between the lines and I have to ask, Why so angry?

The standby argument that the "seriousness of the charge" is what matters, not the "truth" of it. Amirite?

Who's angry? Hell, this may be the most amusing thing that's happened in months on these boards.

These people deserve to be mocked.
