Once again, you're equating being black with the choice of gay wedding venue. You cannot be taken seriously.

Yes I did. You would like to bring to question, anyone's education that doesn't agree with you.
People who work hard, buy land, and pay their taxes on that land, they have the right to say what happens there. Those rights are unquestionable to me, no matter what some stupid law says.
If you want a farm for gays to get married on, go get yourself a job, buy it, then do whatever you want.
I promise, I wouldn't care if you did that. That would be your business.

I think the part about it also being their home is the tough part to deal with. If I don't like you I shouldn't have to have you as a customer. Owners needed to get the gay out of it.

Why would I need to sue anyone?

I'm not equating being black with the choice of a gay wedding venue. Your words don't make sense.

Because I think people are both capable of being racist and homophobic? I legitimately don't get where you have a problem with what I'm saying. You're either ignoring it, or repeating a jumbled mess of the topics being discussed, but not actually anything I'm saying.

Then they should have had a problem with the specific individuals and how they acted, and just kept their mouths shut about it being because they're gay. If they had a legitimate reason to not want to do business with them, then that's their prerogative, and if they swore on the Bible in a court of law it wasn't because they were gay, then they wouldn't pay a fine. And even if it's their private property, it's available for public commerce. If you run a bed and breakfast on your property, you can't refuse patrons a room simply because they are black.

I've maintained that private property rights are relevant, you've argued that they aren't if someone's feelings are hurt. A person cannot choose to be black, a person can choose to get married. What is so hard to understand?

No, a lot of people didn't take business law classes, even fellow engineers from my alma mater and their understanding of this issue goes no further than conservative radio(which I listen to an enjoy, btw).

They do, and I fully support that. Until they open it up to public commerce, then they must abide by certain laws laid out in the Constitution.

I have a job, but I don't want to own and operate a wedding venue for people. Sounds terribly boring.

If that was my business, then it would also be the business of local, state and federal interest subject to laws, taxes and regulations. Some regulations that even promote the free market. If you have a problem with those laws, elect better politicians.

Look, it is about their rights as a property owner.
They should be able to make any decision they choose about what happens there, as long as it doesn't endanger the physical safety of other people.

I don't care what you do on your place, why wouldn't you grant me the same respect?

So have I. I have also stated that private property rights don't always extend to public commerce, something you've refused to acknowledge.

Never once have I mentioned someone's feelings.

A person cannot choose to be black, a person can choose to get married

Are you completely missing what's happening here? What if the person refused to let them rent the property for marriage because they were black? Would you tell that black person they can choose to get married someone else? That used to happen you know. People thought interracial marriage was against God's will.

What is so hard to understand?

Nothing on my end, but you seem to be completely missing everything. You can be discriminated against for being black. You can be discriminated against for being gay. Do you not agree with either of those sentences? Or are you just trying to ignore addressing anything I'm saying directly? I seriously have no idea at this point.

But the gays had their feelings hurt and now the gays can buy a new flat screen TV with their $2000 and the state has $10000 more dollars. So, I guess you didn't think about that.

Why would you want a racist to perform your wedding if you're black? Why do we need people to be forced to agree with us?

I would guess they're the only car dealer in the world giving a $5,000 discount on all their cars after agreeing on the best price.

It was a ridiculous hypothetical. It still doesn't change the answer.
