Here's an orange and a Bible.

That's the only healthcare plan any red-blooded 'Murican needs.

This. It's forcing you to buy a product, which is ridiculous and why I oppose the law. They wanted a public option, it got thrown out of the bill early on in the process. Medicaid is way more "socialist" than Obamacare, and we've had it around for decades.

They claim to be the party of rights and they are all for given people rights yet they completely ignore fetus rights. Gay rights, we are all over it. Mothers who get pregnant and want to destroy the fetus, we got you you covered. Obamacare will handle that abortion for you. The gross excuses that come from this discussion baffle me. Well it isn't technically a child until 12 weeks in utero yet science has proven this and tons of other misconceptions about abortion as false and it's frankly disgusting. How about you close your fking clam if you don't want children. People who support abortion and claim some sort of moral high ground because they are all for gay rights can suck it. Your actions are morally incomprehensible.

Jindal's got a nice healthcare plan and I forget who it was recently that put out a very interesting tax code proposal. It's just not getting any press, and it's the conservative press that's missing the boat. There are ideas on the right, but the GOP cheerleaders are too busy yelling about all the evil wrongness Obama is doing to even float those balloons. It's because your base eats that shite up.

what conservative press? Fox News? Breitbart? the Blaze?

As much as I agree that they are right wing slanted, the left demoninzes every single one of those and marginalizes them as fringe, catering to the conservative base, while CBS, MSNBC, ABC, and CNN are free to espouse whatever political belief they want in the left's mind.

bolshevik. and you know it.

The right has the momentum. Obama isn't that popular and won't be come 2016. Now is the time to highlight the difference in ideas and start a more reasonable dialogue that can attract more moderates with what I think are better ideas. The problem is, if those ideas aren't ideologically pure the base eats them alive.

Tea Partiers and Libertarians are actually hurting their chances of getting a Republican elected simply by existing. History shows that this country is always drawn toward the middle, regardless of party affiliation. Radical ideas don't work in America.

I believe Jindal is also one of a couple republicans that have their own tax plan idea.

Jindal's, IIRC, was one that called for no more income tax at all. You implement a flat rate sales tax across the board. Cut down on IRS spending, collecting more taxes from people that evade taxes.

Google it and read it. It's not a bad proposal at all. Hell a Democrat in our state legislature is going to propose a very similar bill for Louisiana. It doesn't read like he's doing it for gotcha political points either. It's because it's actually pretty good.

Definitions:
Liberal- (of a person) giving generously.
Socialism- a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Similar, but liberalism deals with money and socialism deals with action. Not stating an opinion, just a clarification.

I agree, it's more of a redistribution of wealth.

Socialism doesn't really mean what it did originally anymore.

For most, it's an extra tax. I've had healthcare for over 15 years and I don't need the government to come in and tax me to keep paying for the healthcare I already had. I don't feel entitled to things.

that's a bald faced lie and you know it. it is point blank hoping that young, healthy, and wealthy put in so that it can support the old, sick, and poor. it has from day one been marketed as that.

Well when you make it so easy...

quote:

CBS, MSNBC, ABC, and CNN are free to espouse whatever political belief they want in the left's mind.

CBS/ABC are more the left's WSJ. MSNBC is Fox, and they are just as justifiably marginalized by reasonable people. CNN is...a bunch of holograms and tweets.

All of this is missing my point. The reason Fox and like exist and prosper is the base doesn't want ideas. They are invested in this fight to defeat the evil socialist establishment that runs America. Again, great for getting a solid 40% in line but it's not winning over much more than that. It's not because the MSM has brainwashed us either...bullshite still smells like bullshite.

Robin Hood politics. Rob from the rich and give to the poor. The entitlement mentality. People thinking they should get things they don't earn.

So this is your argument on something that may happen about .000001 pct of the time in abortions.

Clearly that is reason to let people just continue slaughtering babies at will.

CBS/NBC/ABC are the exact same as MSNBC with a censor.
