The only person I see on the Democratic radar to challenge Hillary is ironically another woman - Elizabeth Warren. But Warren has said she has no aspirations right now to run for President. I hope she doesn't as she is far too valuable in the Senate right now.

Warren is to the left of Hillary, no thanks.

Hillary will get about 95% of women, 95% of minorities, and then all the rest of the Democrats
Hillary will get 95% of African-Americans and all the rest of the Democrats, but women do not block vote quite like African-Americans do.
She'll get a majority of women, because a majority of women are Democrats. She also may generate enough excitement to get Dem leaning women to the polls.
But she will not be getting 95% of the female vote.
But if she does - dang - it will be the biggest landslide in the history of American Presidential politics.

The GOP primaries are going to be an absolute shitshow. Could easily have four different winners in each of the four states leading up to Super Tuesday. Brokered convention isn't out of the realm of possibilities. That's going to be some grand political theatre.
To the point of Hillary, I just think a darkhorse is going to emerge and get the DNC nomination. It's more on gut that anything to be honest.

They've never had a reason to.

95% of women would be basically having 48% of the vote before you even start counting males. She'd win 50 states in landslides. For some reason I have my doubts.

Nixon carried 49 states in '72, I could see Hillary doing something similar if the Republican Party doesn't do a re-branding and get their shite together.

I don't think Hillary is a slam dunk with female voters, partly because she stuck with Bill after the Lewinsky thing. That's a big turn off to a lot of women.
I do think she'd get around 60-70% of the female vote.

That's ancient history and water under the bridge at this point. Women will vote for Hillary just because she's a woman.

All that aside -- if/when Hillary runs it's hers to lose. I think the Republicans/Conservatives really played their hand wrong over the past few years and actually were obstructionist.
I'm a centrist, and it'd be impossible to vote for a group that were actively trying to sabotage recovery because of sour grapes.

Maybe, but a lot of women have long memories and hold on to grudges.
Anyway, back to the original topic. Came across this timeline of all the right-wing conspiracies on Benghazi and had forgotten how out in the weeds they'd gotten on some of them.

Which just proves how stupid voters can be and how big of a sham it is. People voting for Obama because he's black, hilary because she's female, what's next, transgender because they have both?
Stupid arse reason to vote for anyone.

Some will. But it didn't happen in liberal New York when she was ran for Senator (twice). If you think it's somehow going to magically happen when she runs nationally, you're simply being unrealistic.
I know it's an extremely small sampling, but most of the women I know - even some Dems - would crawl over an acre of broken glass to pull the lever for anyone running against Hillary.
When it came to Obama, even some of the most conservative African-Americans I know voted for Obama and they freely admitted it was because of the color of his skin. It was a huge deal for them.
For women? Not so much. They simply don't vote as a herd.

Of course it is. Please provide all of the instances in the history of this country, even during world wars, where our embassy was attacked, destroyed, and our ambassador murdered.
It's an amazingly rare occurence and a very big deal. I'm surprised you think otherwise, unless you're blinded by your politics.

This isn't 1972 and Nixon was an incumbent if my math is correct. Running against who...George McGovern? Doesn't matter, there's not a Democrat out there that can pull the South. Texas either.
Conservative women aren't going to vote for a Democrat just because she's a woman. Obama got a massive cut of the African American vote, but that is a smaller group that overwhelmingly votes Democrat anyway. It's not even comparable.

Exactly, much like Truman's Do-Nothing Congress, the Republicans have now turned into the do-nothing party. They obstruct anything Obama tries to do just to satisfy their base, but they don't realize that their base is naturally dwindling due to voters literally dying off. They also have no clear platform.
Their platform on healthcare? Nothing
The military? Nothing
Civil rights? Nothing
They just want to leave everything alone without having to work to find any kind of solution. The fact that Benghazi is their big selling point now is a testament to this fact. They are trying to sensationalize a mistake by the Democrats instead of working in a discernible direction for their own party.

Unlike block voting minorities, most women (surprise) want the correct, best suited person in office, not a woman.
If a female could pick her boss, between a man and a woman who do you thing she'd favor?

Good, That's what I am voting for. If I wanted his liberal policies I would have voted for them. Until then, these motherfrickers better keep saying no to his shite.
