SAT wasn't required for LSU when I enrolled.

I believe in recent years, Ga Southern has been the fall back school for UGA. In state, HOPE scholarships and all that. Its true, look it up (as they say)

You believed wrong. And Hope wouldn't cover you unless you had 3.5 anyway, and 3.5 people don't go to Southern. Furthermore, students from Georgia get in-state tuition at Auburn after their first semester, if they begin their residency in the state of Alabama at the beginning of the Summer, which basically entails signing and paying an apartment lease even if you don't live there yet.

What's the "Nobody takes the SAT anymore" stuff? That's new to me. I googled it, and I don't see anything to indicate that a reputable college will let you in without having an SAT (or ACT) score.

Someone explain it to me like I'm an Auburn grad.

You really just quote that because your original post was on the bottom of the last page?

The vast majority of American students still take the SAT. A lot of the smaller population states do the ACT.

Someone must have taken this little girl's candy!

Maybe you should look at Ga Southern a little closer...I know lots of 3.5 GPA students from ATL suburbs who went to Statesboro.

Also -- check out that list of ACT scores again - not much difference between UGA and AU - Okay UGA wins! Yeah!
Oh -- and Mark Richt is a good guy
Feel better?

Oh -- and you are a bit of a dumbass:

"An Alabama student/resident is a person which shall be:
1) a citizen of the United States, or a legal permanent resident
AND 2) who shall have resided and had habitation, home and permanent abode in the State of Alabama for at least 12 months immediately preceding current registration.

A person who establishes domicile in Alabama for the purpose of avoiding non-Alabama fees will be subject to non-resident tuition."

Unless they are a common market student in the agreement states

Mark Richt is a good guy who breaks his foot off in Auburn's arse nearly every year. Congrats on joining the ten losses to the good guy club this fall (the majority of which were complete curb stompings).

Richt is a good guy
Auburn is 5-9 vs. Richt
Auburn has been blown out by Richt in 6 of those losses
Auburn is a backup school for Georgians who "don't test well"

Sounds a lot like how florida grads refer to florida state.

I wish. It used to be this way, but it changed years ago. Sadly, my kid will be UGA bound because Auburn is too expensive out of state and you can no longer get in-state as a student at all.

1. Vanderbilt (2220)
2. Florida (1887)
3. Georgia (1868)
4. Tennessee (1748)
5. Missouri (1739)

So the East is clearly much better than the West, outside of South Carolina, which I don't think ANYONE is surprised by.
