Forced them, really? You have proof of this? Link? You lying piece of shite.

This is how Jewish people show solidarity with Christians---by constantly demanding that you remove your religious symbols from public life. Hooray for Judeo-Christians.

Even if they forced them to, they have that right. Don't want the cross on your helmet? Ok, don't play.

Did they?
Let me break it down for you:
The cross is a Christian symbol.
Arkansas State put crosses on the helmets.
Wearing a helmet is required to play football.

That don't really fly at a public institution.
Want to wear religious imagery on your uniform? Make yourself a private institution.

Of course it doesn't. It shouldn't. They would be legally within their rights though according to the first amendment.

Not in my day.

I'll disagree. They wouldn't have the right to force any player to wear a religious symbol on their helmet, not as a public institution. Moot point tho, because nobody was forced to do anything.

That's by and large dependent on how you perceive the first amendment...and that's not how the courts saw it.

quote:Your breakdown stops here. Let me break it down further. Arkansas State is not a person. Each individual had to choose to place that sticker. Who made that decision? Helmet stickers are often handed out, and players make their own decision to apply them or not. Do you have proof that that did not happen here, that someone forced every player to wear them?
Arkansas State put crosses on the helmets.

Unfortunately.

Link where any player was FORCED, which means compelled to against their will, to wear the cross on their helmet?
Link just 1 example, just 1. 1 Player complained, and I'll concede the argument and declare you the winner.

It was a sticker. If any player had an issue with it, they could have had it removed.

Good work by this tribesman to rid the public university system of the crushing yoke of Christianity.
Posted on 9/12/14 at 12:20 pm to BillyBobPorkin
Public university = supported by tax funds (partially).
Although the cost of putting a sticker on a helmet is negligible, it's still using people's money to support a religion.
So I do think State should be forced to remove them. If it were Baylor, it would be completely fine.

Jews only have this kind of power because they largely abandoned their culture and assimilated to American Christian society.
But that's another discussion.

How is that illegal? Sure, it pisses you off but that doesn't matter.

Link where Arkansas State was FORCED to be a public institution, or the people working there were FORCED to work there.
This is an ideological argument vs. legal argument.
