This is also totally ignoring what the civil war was fought over. Slavery was a non issue and was brought up because Lincoln freed all of the southern slaves. The northern slaves, nah frick them, but this other country we are at war with, yeah let's free their slaves.

It is sad that kids these days are being taught in school that the civil war was about slavery, when in reality it could not be any farther from the truth.

Your wrong brah and I'm as conservative as the next guy. The CW was about preserving the way of life of the Elites in the. They had to protect their money which was from cotton. You can't make a profit off cotton without cheap labor. That's why they had to fight to keep their way of life. What sucks is that during the was Cotton blew up in India and Egypt and killed the profit margins of the South anyway during the war.

Pretty good! Wifey finally moved down here for good and was lucky enough to find a good job right off the bat. Now she's just decorating the house all the time but I don't mind

How about you, my friend?

Same ole, same ole. Spending too much time doing what I want to do and not enough time doing what I need to do.

And I wouldn't have it any other way

No shite slavery isn't racist. People have been owning people since the beginning of time and just because there was a brief moment of history where one small group of a race were predominately owned by a second small group of one race does equate slavery to being racist.

frick them. I don't have respect for people who tried to kill my grandfather. If the entire country didn't decided to put an actual sociopath in charge they wouldn't have to defend their homeland from anything.

They have done studies to figure out why people would do such harmful and destructive things like hurt another person or human being and even when people feel or know it's wrong they still do the act as instructed. People are fricking weird. Basically most humans would have done the same thing given the circumstances. Hitler was an extremely cunning and powerful speaker and had the ability to whip a crowd into a frenzy.

You can't always tie racism to slavery. Slavery exists in many forms and can be tied more to profit than anything.

but we can tie the practice of slavery in the united states leading up to the civil war with racism. sure, that hasnt always been the case throughout human history, but it was in the united states circa 1860

1 and 2 are yes/no
3 and 4 are no.

If you like the confederate flag purely because you love the south, then no, but if you like it because you think it stands for racism, then yes.

I do not get why people would be frustrated the south lost??

It doesn't have to be an american to be considered a war hero.

You should be proud of any family who served in any conflict. Many people are against Vietnam, would they not be proud if their kin served?
