To add to this thread, for the past couple of weeks I keep hearing loud gunshot like sounds out of nowhere. Doesn't sound like the ones in the video...just like someone shot a rifle about 50 yards from me. It happens about once or twice a day and it's never in the same location...just randomly hear it in random spots. Sounds like a tire blowout and I can't figure it out...i've heard it while driving down the road, while standing outside, while sitting in my truck at work. No scenario has anything consistent that could explain the noise. It's always just one single loud POP. Never 2 in a row...the closest time frame I've heard them together is within a couple of hours.

That range is way, way out away from anything. I strongly doubt you could hear stuff in Louisville. That's quite a distance. Even on the main post the report from gunnery is not super loud. Plus, as a training post they aren't shooting combat rounds. I wonder if that noise was something else from closer to Louisville.

It's funny because my mom is heading in the same direction he is -- uses a lot of the same mannerisms and reiterates the same concerns.
She's also ex-military, by the way, so it makes me shake my head.
