It's getting kinda weird. Just in the last two weeks, it's been happening all over the world. And the video, where they recorded them, the sounds and all ... well, it's a little bit freaky.

I mean they don't sound so much like booms to me as they do, and dare I saw this, they sound like large horns being blown. But they would have to be massive horns ...

... kinda weird that it's been happening all over the world at the same time.

A lot of people are wondering about that.

Strange that it is happening all over the world, at the same time, and they all sound alike.

No explanations, very little media coverage.

We've got an evil entity in the White House. Stock market is in trouble. The world is in chaos. This country, the last bastion of Christianity, is polarized like never before.

Who knows, just sayin'.

I'm ready.

This has been going on for like years. Not the last few weeks.

Here's a video from Feb. of 2014.

Here are some more great examples of the phenomenon. The short videos from Australia are mesmerizing.

I favor the theory that says the sounds have to do with atmospheric pressure. I think it probable that two dense masses of air pushing past each other might generate sound.

I've heard of this atmospheric quirk my whole life. Booms, trumpets, etc. have been regularly reported all around the world for a long time.

My only experiences with them have come in the past five years here in the Bluegrass. My brother and I, on two occasions, have heard what sounded like cannon fire from tanks engaged in battle, except that they were much deeper in timber and seemed to roll longer than you would expect.

They went on for about an hour and a half. If they were actually from cannons, they had to be huge.

I read about this last year and the scientists were saying it was a phenomenon with rapidly dropping weather fronts. I have heard it before and was curious about it.

Yes. As we all know, the origin of thunder is the quick rush of air to fill the sudden vacuum created by a bolt of lightening.

A lot of us have also probably been on a plane that suddenly drops hundreds of feet as it hits an air pocket that's less dense than the air surrounding it. The first time I experienced it I nearly wet my pants.

So, we know that the atmosphere is fraught with masses of air that have different densities. It's logical to think then that very dense masses can generate sound as they pass one another.

It is interesting because it happens on a global scale and with the Internet it will cause a frenzy. There are written accounts of this from many years ago cited in many of the articles. It apparently caused a big turmoil in the nineties when people were hearing these noises and thought the world was ending.

Eh, it's whatever. It's probably nothing. Just some alien scout ships scanning the planet in preparation for a global campaign to eradicate humanity and claim Earth's resources. I'm not worried about it because I know Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum will save us.

I heard some strange booms at my house earlier. Is it an Alien invasion?

I think it's weather. Note many of the videos seem to be proximal to open areas and/or during weather, like rain in Dubai (which is rare). And the sounds in New Jersey seem to be much different.

However, there are those that think end times are coming. Some have said Obama will declare himself to be the 12th Imam. Lot of crazy stuff.
