You're saying I would still be complaining?

You don't know me. If Kim Anderson gets them to the NCAA tournament this year, you won't hear me bad mouth him again. A Final Four and he gets a statue.

I'm criticizing because he fricked up last year royally. Not because I enjoy it.

No, i'm saying the complainers would start complaining about things like:
- KA's voice is holding us back from going undefeated forever
- Why did we lose a game at all
- KA is too tall. he intimidates good guard recruits and is killing the program
- Mizzou should never lose to anyone in basketball
- Why didn't we score more in the last win?
- Why didn't we play better D in the last win?
- Why did KA let that one player from the opposing team score so much in our last win?
- If KA yelled more, we'd play a prettier style of basketball
- Why can't KA control Truman on the sidelines?

There will always be something.

He's such a victim, the poor guy that got the chance to coach a D1 team with zero experience on the level. A real victim, worthy of our sympathy.

He's a little too inexperienced and on the wrong side of the W/L percentages for anyone to start claiming the perpetual victim card on him.

I didn't judge him on his wins and loses, but on if the team progressed as the season went on and instead they regressed.

No, it is a statement about fans in general. No matter how much you win, fans bitch. But I can see you are very defensive about your stance on KA.

With injuries to his 2 best players (one season ending) and multiple discipline issues. They will be better for it next year IMO.

Who? Clark? At the very end of the year? Teki? Funny how TB says he was horrible and losing him didn't hurt.

I do think they'll be better next year based on 2 factors. Another year of maturity/growing/experience. Just can't be as bad as last year. At least I refuse to believe it. I would like to think that we could back into more than 8 wins just by showing up.

Would be pumped if so. Just don't see it. At the time of his hire, I said year 1 had to be double digits wins. Year 2 had to be 15 wins. I'll stick with that as far as what is acceptable.

As far as what I expect, I expect everything was pushed back a year and double digit wins is my expectation for this coming year and 15 wins the year after.

My thoughts as well and I'm sticking with it. I don't think losing Teki is huge because of his back. The guys that are staying went thru hell last year and that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Defensive? Maybe I've been away from this butthurt/in your head mentality of the SECRant for too long, but I've got no idea how you think that was being defensive.

Dude came from Central Missouri right to the University of Missouri with no intermediary stops. It was a bad call regardless of what happened last season short of the team making a Sweet 16.

He got an opportunity to coach at his alma mater, and I'm happy for him personally. As far as the Tigers go, I think it was a poor decision and a bad hire.

The fact that people want to say that people would complain about the coach of the Missouri Tigers regardless of what happened last year is a joke. If Coach K came to Mizzou and won 9 games he'd be okay and likely have little criticism. If Bryce freaking Drew came to Mizzou and won 9 games he'd have less criticism.

KA gets crapped on because he didn't have the resume and the season was what you'd expect from a guy learning on the job at a major university after coaching teams in high school gyms for the majority of his coaching career. It's the price he pays for not making any real effort to qualify for the job prior to having it handed to him.

Thanks for another post in defense of your viewpoint. It doesn't come off as defensive at all that you feel the need to keep defending it.

Having a discussion.

The fact that you're not feeling the need to support your statement leads me to believe you're just here wallowing in shite. Is that accurate, or are we just making statements and getting jollies on how "in their head" you are when people respond?

Yeah, damn they're easy. I don't even know what half the shite I say is over there. But the old guard is always quick to jump all over it.

Can't wait for football to start so we can officially get the basketball stuff behind us. At the end of the day there's just not going to be a lot positive to happen between now and games anyways, if for no other reason than there just won't be anything going on.

The football team is just as likely to win 25 games this year as the basketball team. Don't know the schedule yet but I would say an optimistic view would be 15 wins this season and that may even be a stretch.

My viewpoint on this is just pointing out how it works in the real world and using some objectivity.

You should try it sometime instead of choosing to feel attacked.
