"It’s an indictment on the entire East when Missouri wins the East two years in a row and gets destroyed by Auburn, then Alabama in the SEC championship game," the coach said. "Georgia screwed it up last year (by losing to Florida), which Georgia is prone to do. Missouri is definitely not the most talented team in the East. It’s time for Georgia and Florida and Tennessee and South Carolina to restore order to the East."

-- Some SEC Coach.

I say Saban.

Definitely not Saban....Probably an assistant not at one of the schools mentioned...

Or a made up quote by a sportswriter.

Or an assistant with a West school. I doubt a head coach would go there.

Who cares?

We were easily the most talented team in 13. Nor did we get "destroyed" by Auburn. Check the NFL players off that roster. We were talented enough to win in 14 that it wasn't some crazy long shot.

I'm guessing someone that's butthurt

No coach would say that. This is a fan statement or some of that Finebaum BS.

frick him.

Put DGB back on the 14 team and then let the asswipe pop off. Let's be honest here... Missouri lost their BEST player on offense in 2014 and now arguably their BEST player on defense in 2015 - and all Mizzou does is keep on winning.

My guess is the quote comes from a subordinate coach on a bottom feeder who's jealous that Mizzou's made it to the SECCG two years running.

Probably fat Bert. He's known for running his mouth and riding the coattails of the West.

Someone obsessed with recruiting rankings...

This would point me to someone on 10RC's staff. Talking like a message board poster is something Butch Jones would condone.

If it wasn't an HC, I'd say hands down, Gary Danielson.

Got to be a West HC. I don't think an East HC would include division rivals in his statement, and would make pretty good posterboard retributions.

Saban wouldn't say that. What would it gain him? He likes Gary.

Malzahn might, but I don't think he cares.

Sumlin, Mullen, Freeze wouldn't

Miles might. He's coached against and beaten GP, but he's got his own problems trying to get above 4th place in the West.

Gotta be fat Bert. Doesn't seem to like GP and already exchanged critical comments. The guy seems to live on being a jerk.

I would say talent wise the statement isn't that far off.

The issue is, talent doesn't win football games.

So whoever this guy is, he's an idiot regardless.

For fun though,

I say it was the HBC

The restore order crack doesn't sound like a coach, it sounds like a homer fan. I can't believe any head coach would make comments like that, even under anonymity. Maybe Suprrier? Just doesn't sound like a head coach.

The only reason I would suspect a USCjr coach is because they included USCjr in the category of UF and UGA. USCjr is a bottom tier East team with Kentucky and Vandy most years outside of Spurrier.
