Herman is making 1.35 mill in Houston and we are paying Pinkel 4 mil. We are going to have to outbid sc, possibly uga and others for him to come. uga will have a lot more money to offer than us but the relationship with mack might be key. he's an offensive genius so drew lock may be going to the nfl in 2 more years.

it would be a great get and a dream if we could keep odom and kul for the defense. or maybe he promotes kul if odom heads to memphis as everyone assumes.

as far the recruiting questions, everything changes. the good will Pinkel built with black players is gone but we are probably going to have a whole new staff with different in roads with players and high school coaches.

I know it won't happen but Petrino. Good offensive minded coach. Mizzou already has the defense nailed down. They need a boost at offense. I think Petrino could do that.

Never thought about him. How much is he currently getting paid??? I loved his offense at Arkansas.

No thanks. This is already a media firestorm. We don't need to hire someone that will only cause more headlines.

An old ESPN story has him at 3.5 million per yr. as a base salary. It says he also has a 10 million buy out if he leaves early but decreases after four years.

That's an understandable comment. Being in the SEC, you're going to need a proven coach that's been on the big stage. Just my opinion. There is a reasonable concern with Petrino and recruits due to his past. But, the guy can coach and he's someone who's been there before. I know I hope Mizzou doesn't settle for a clean cut image coach.

Maybe it's time they brought Dave Christensen back? Another good offensive mind. He's also more Pinkel like as far as the offensive scheme goes. May be a bit more wide open offense. He has the QB in place. He would have tools to work with right now.

I just don't see them offering Petrino with his baggage. But he can coach the O.

Does anybody have some scoop on the coach at Toledo, Matt Campbell? Played at Mount Union (power-house and won some Nattys) and coached at Bowling Green too. Promoted from within to HC at Toledo. And he broke the little piglets hearts in Fayettenam.
