Frank Haith's 2013 recruiting class at Mizzou was really one for the ages:

Johnathan Williams III
Shane Rector
Torren Jones
Wes Clark

2015 stats
Rector 9 ppg, 4 apg
Jones 11 ppg, 8 rpg
JW3 will have similar production to Jones next year for Gonzaga
Clark 9 ppg 3 apg 3 rpg

It may have turned out poorly for Mizzou, but they weren't bad at basketball.

I think J3 blows up next year. He will be a 14 & 10 player.
Decent stats for the rest, although against lower level of competition than Mizzou faces.

So if Isabell transfers as has been rumoured

I'm thinking Isabell stays now. Even before Wes was gone, they weren't looking at any PG. I think he is just a stubborn mule that KA is determined to break.

As for transfers/roster turnover, here is how I see it

Graduating: Rosburg

Kicked: Clark

99% Staying: Puryear, CVL, Barnett

95% Staying: Phillips

80% Staying: Wright

60% Staying: Isabell, Walton

50% Go/Stay: Allen, Gant

I agree with you that they aren't bad athletes. But, KA's blue collar system is built upon mentality almost as much as it is ability. None of those 3 players had the mentality needed to work here. Haith strongly prioritized talent over mental toughness. It can work, but not here.

Wish we could have kept Jones. He's a tough post player. The rest I can do without.

Where did Rector end up? Wasn't Price part of that recruiting class too?

Wes Clark was a warrior for us last year. It's anothe back end justification when he leaves to say "he's not mentally tough enough." JW3 isn't a mentally weak kid either from what I can tell.

And KA's system better be built on something other than talent.

And they all transferred to what Power 5 colleges? J3 will have good season bc he has had a year to get stronger in the weight room. Teki gets a year to heal his back. I'll give you, losing him is a concen.

I was referring to the other players that are playing this year.
I have said several times that both MGC & J3 are really good players that will be all-conference level players.

It's no big deal but you said J3 would put up good stats but against a lower level of competition than mizzou faces. I could have read it wrong

The more I think about it, the more his percentage goes up of Staying. KA has made it clear that he likes PG bringing the ball up the court...even going so far as to play Jimmy Barton for 5 min instead of having Namon or Walton just bring the ball up the court.

Seeing as they aren't recruiting any PG, I'd imagine that signifies Isabell staying.

Yea with Clark now gone it seems almost automatic that TI comes back. Otherwise Phillips is the only PG/ballhandler on the roster next year.
And we can't just run everyone off or it kills the APR. which takes scholarships, practice time, and/or post season play away.

OK this is just going to get uglier for KA and the basketball program. I don't see how we can keep KA any longer. If it was a player or two probably the players but we have lost way to many kids and had too many discipline issues that appear coach and player issues.

When KA was first hired Clark was a problem. Many thought he would be one of the players that could have been pushed out.

It looks like KA has figured out how to do that. Had he done it to some of the guys last year J3 would probably still be here.
