That's not actually true. Last time I looked the only power league that had a high RPI was the ACC. The SEC will probably get 6 teams in the tourney. The only conference expected to get more is the Big 12. Tied with the ACC. Ahead of the B1G, PAC 12, Big East, & AAC.

Good challenge in TAM today. If I was KA, I wouldn't let Clark shoot it more than 8 times.

Interesting look at progression from other teams that had a Mizzou like youth movement

I will put money on the fact they do not get 6 teams in the tourney when all is said and done. I think that might tie the most they've ever gotten in and while the SEC is on the uptick, I seriously doubt this is the strongest the conference has ever been.

I hope you're right. One would think some progress would be shown by now. Instead, we still have kids getting sidelined because they haven't figured it out.

Our non-con was actually pretty stiff. Not every game can be against OU or Xavier or OSU or whoever. Definitely tougher than any under Haith.

It was still pretty damn weak.

Before today's games, our non con strength of schedule was 35. LINK If you take out the non P5 schools, the ones getting paid to be a cupcake, we are probably top 20. It was a good non con schedule, but we didn't have the team to take advantage.

Yea I really think it depends on what your markers are for progress. Offensive spacing is better. The last few games the offense has worked and gotten open shots. Problem is our guys aren't consistent shooters. Shooting is an offseason improvement. Strength is another obvious weakness for this team that won't be addressed until this offseason.
If 2 of Wright, Teki, & Gant can make strides similar to what Clark & J3 made and we can get some quality strength on the interior then MIZZOU can be .500 or better next year.

Dribbling off of anything but our leg would be an improvement. Not passing the ball 10 rows into the stands would be an improvement. Being able to shoot 50% from six inches from the basket would be an improvement.

I haven't seen all that many turnovers lately, Sham has the best assist:turnover ratio in the SEC.
The poor shooting close to the hoop is a function of strength. Guys aren't strong enough to play through contact, so try to slide away from contact. As the young guys get stronger I think that they will start going through contact and either making the bucket or drawing a foul. That's an offseason improvement.
Don't get me wrong there are major deficiencies on this team, just don't think those are issues that can be addressed mid season.

Are you kidding me? I just watched them pass the ball right to no one. Well, other than the A&M player.

I will give KA some credit. Saw some emotion from him there.

I hear ya about not being able to add strength mid-season. Can't do that.

Idk what to say. Defensive breakdowns? Gant needs more playing time. How come Bello doesn't get more minutes?

I guess the difference is that I had no expectations for this team this year. I want Mizzou to be good, but after loosing virtually all their production from an NIT team last year I didn't expect anything. I had some home with Cam, but when he left I figured this season was about getting experience so that the young guys would know what they needed to work on in the offseason.

Has made the fact that I work most Saturdays and usually late during the week a good reason not to watch this BB team win the race to the bottom of the SEC.

I seriously doubt we get six teams in the dance.

How did I know that the suspension was gonna be deemed long enough as soon as Clark went down.

We played better against an absolutely awful team. No moral victories to be had against MSU.
