I truly am in disbelief as to where this team is at right now. Just keep asking how in the hell did we get to the point that we are the worst team in the worst conference. The program may have had its issues. The players may not be one and done type talent. But this bad? Really? How?

This team needs some alphas. We had 2 last year in Clarkson & Brown. Everyone on this team is best at being a secondary option. Teki, Wright, & Gant may develop into that type of player. But right now there are none of those.
Next years improvement will be dependent on either getting one or two of those type of guys, or some big developmental steps by guys on the roster today.

We have no talent on offense. We are below average rebounding and we make way too many young mistakes

They need legit post players if they are going to run this offense. We hardly use our strengths on this team. There is no vocal leader.

I want to see some heart. The only time I have seen that all year was the first half of the kentucky game at home.

Show Me State. Show Me something.

Am I the only one losing faith in KA?
I assure you that I have given him every benefit of the doubt to date, but I am running low on excuses. I get that we are young, but I haven’t seen a lick of improvement from the team all year. J3 and Clark are making the same mistakes as last year. Allen hasn’t a bit of offensive talent in his body. Bello still looks like he couldn’t care less.

3 players have shown modest improvements. Post, despite his obvious lack of talent, is making some good plays, but still has no defensive knowledge. Rosburg, almost polar opposite of post. Respectable defense with no offense, although he has come along the last few games since kentucky (minus airball). Teki has the talent, and is making some smart shots, they just aren’t falling. I’d love to see him take the next step and start attacking teams instead of settling for jump shots.

I don’t know the issue with Isabell. I just know that he seems to be vocal on the court, and that is something that this team needs. Players who are highly regarded, and kids today in general are coddled too much. I would love to see some fire or someone holding their teammates accountable for crappy play.

That's not going to happen. Looking at the remaining schedule, I have us going 2-8 for a final record of 9-23. I honestly would be quite surprised if we hit double digit wins.

I would take that in a heartbeat as I don't think we win again this year. If we do it will be a minor miracle. Thank gawd we some how were able to beat LSU.

So I thought getting to double digits this year was about all we can expect. It's questionable if we'll get there.

I thought next year, our expectations should be that the team finish .500. Anyone think there's any chance of that next year?

I mean you need to hit shots to win games. Actually defensively they are fine they just can't score. I would also disagree that the SEC is the worst of the power conferences. I think the SEC is on the upswing with coaches such as Pearl and Martin joining the ranks. Both of which are proven winners and both have teams similar to Mizzou. The KA hate is tiresome. I know it sucks to watch this team keep losing though.

The SEC is on the up tick but they're still behind the ACC, B1G, Big 12, Pac 12 and maybe still behind the A10, AAC and the Big East. It is and will get better in time though.

A&M - Don't see it. Our RPI is in the 160's I think and theirs is in the 30's.
@SC - Don't see it. Martin has them playing pretty good.
MSU - 1 of 2 best chances at a W, though they're playing better.
@Arky - Not a chance.
@Vandy - Won't rule it out but would be an upset.
UF - They're not UF of old but no. Just no.
@UGA - Not on the road.
Aub - The 2nd of 2 good chances at a W.
@MSU - I think we split with them.

Best we finish is 8-22 or 9-22 if you want to count beating a D2 school.

I don't think anyone is hating on the guy. I actually like him. I just think he was a bad hire. The record is not helping his case. I know the cupboard was bare but seriously in a rebuilding year we should be better than 7-15. This is embarrassing. It wouldn't be so bad if it looked like there was hope but the SEC is the worst of the poer five leagues and it isn't even close and we are in last place in that league. This is not a BB league. We should be middle of the pack to upper every year.I think most coaches at this point would have more than 7 wins with the talent we got. I don't see us getting to .500 next season and if not then KA needs to be looked at hard to determine if he is the guy.

You mean teams we've beaten? As in:

Valpo
Oral Roberts
Chaminade
SEMO
Elon
Lipscomb
LSU

That is pretty sad. At least we got LSU on that list.

We are thankful we had a weak non-con schedule or we may be talking about 3-4 wins this year.

Our non-con was actually pretty stiff. Not every game can be against OU or Xavier or OSU or whoever. Definitely tougher than any under Haith.

Now I don't think they can win more than 11. The games that are still winnable are TAM, MSST, Auburn, @Vanderbilt & @MSST.

I won't argue with winnable. But in my mind, that means toss ups. Which means that if we win half of those we get to 9. I don't see us going 5 for 5 in all of the only games we have a chance in.
