I need to rip on Guthrie more often!

What a performance today!

A true veteran performance outta him. One of the best starts we've gotten all year from our rotation against the powerful Tigers nonetheless.

I think the rest of baseball learned something. Not to intentionally hit our batters. Suspensions are just part of it, but one thing KC learned is how biased MLB can be when handing out those suspensions.

We'll see what happens when the a's and angels play us again. no worries. We have depth.

Holy moly what a win that was!! I just still can't believe we won that game. That was Cardinals-esque in how clutch it was and how many Houdini escape jobs we pulled off. Simply incredible. Really an excellent game and especially so for ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball minus the rain delay.

The Central lead is up to 1.5

Hey, two outta three aint bad at Detroit! Not to mention we had some firepower missing in that series also. Moose should be back at tejas and Rios should be back in a week or two.

We need to keep taking series to create some space.

The headcase is real. Something needs to be done quickly with him. I suggest he shaves that beard.

Well. Good win. 3 homers in one game by three different players. Nice.

Rangers look alot better than their record. This is going to be a tougher series than I originally thought.

Our boys kept fighting that is for sure. I agree on the Rangers, they are not an easy out.

Can't ask for much more right now than the split with tejus.

Wonder who will blink first, Detroit or KC?. Basically all but tied at the top, again. If we could just get our starting rotation lined out and throwing quality games again, I think we could actually pull away from Detroit. But until that happens, we'll be toe to toe.

Guthrie should be our new ace

By the way, are we really the only 3 consistently active Kansas City posters on this board? Tigerboard has a pretty even split of KC/STL. Lots of people discussing the Royals over there. This board.....not so much lol. Kind of weird.

We are doing a damn fine job I think! I agree about the starting rotation. If we can get anything consistent going then I think we have the horses to pull away from Detroit a bit. I don't think we will be able to hide from them, but to have a nice little 3-5 game buffer could be pretty excellent.

I heard a couple more weeks on Rios. Last I heard he was playing catch and had hit off a Tee.

Yep and they start a series with the cards. This could start the seperation if we can win our series with the yanks.

The Royal Embassy

Great series win for the 1st place Royals over the 1st place Yankees. Now we'll cheer for our cross-state neighbors to beat the Tigers tonight.
