Reedus, let's sticky this thread and keep her rolling?

2-0 with some new and some old things going right for us.

The new: 4 home runs in the first 2 games?! It took 13 games last year for us to collect 4.

The old: Our sweet bullpen!

I cant tell if the two fan bases as a whole are becoming closer friends or more bitter rivals.

It probably depends on whether or not the Royals were a one hit wonder (pun intended) or if they can be consistently successful and compete with birds for the hearts and minds of the young'ins.

This home run hitting idea that the Royals have come up with recently is pretty neat.

Good for Orlando in his MLB debut today. So far has a walk, and a triple as his first major league hit.

This all makes me nervous. We shouldn't be this good 3 games into the season against a team that was predicted to be better than us. This is scary. Did hell just freeze?

On the other hand, we get no repsect. Even after going 7 games into the WS, winning 8 straight playoff wins including sweeping what was claimed to be the "the best team in baseball" the Angels, then sweeping the team who throttled the division leader Detroit, we're still predicted to be mid level team. Totally under the radar, we are.

Is this really happening?

Did they also get new balls for MLB.j/k. Seems like the Royals are still hot after having a long layoff.

They definitely seem to be playing hungry. It has been good to see production from the new guys as well. It seems like each one of them has come in and immediately contributed in some way.

I think the additions this year are definite upgrades. More power in the lineup, really a better pitcher replacing Shields. I think this team matured with the WS appearance. Thier confidence is sky high. The Royals are going to be a tough team to beat. They still believe. If we can get Gordon and Infante batting like we know they can, this team is beyond dangerous.

This shite IS really happening. Awesome!

Nice start to the season, but I would curb my enthusiasm some. Of course I hope they roll all season long and win the World Series, but it's a long ways until then, with plenty of pitfalls along the way.

Not raining on any parade here, just old enough to remember and live through the 70's up to todays team. I remain optimistic but guarded due to the last 30 years of wandering in the wilderness (other than the glory of last year).

Can't say that I blame you. Trying to emotionally invest in the Royals after such a long drought it pretty damn tough. 4-0 is a pretty sweet start though!

Grew up in the 70's and 80's. Been there done that. Still an avid Royals fan all the way through.

It's no fluke. Of course they'll lose some games. But they are good enough and deep enough to stay the course. They will be there at the end. The real pressure is on Detroit. Cleveland is the only team that scares me at this point.

This team is legit.

Kudos to you then! You're a better fan than me. I quit watching and followed them very loosely around the mid 90's. Another win under the book and going for the sweep!

Don't you just love national televised commentators when they love all over a pitcher like Weaver until he gets knocked around. Then it's excuse making time. He's lost velocity, blah blah blah. What ever. Guy is a good pitcher, MLB pitcher. You don't pitch for a club like the angels if you're not good. Royals just got to him last night, because they are better than what people want to admit. It would make those procrastinators look like fools if they readily admitted they were stupid for counting out the defending ALC's. They actually out played San Fran just not Bumgarner, Damn tools.

It's another sweep. I'm stoked. This team is awesome. Added another quality arm to the bullpin also.

Gordon might want to start worrying about his job. Orlando is killing the ball right now. How do you not keep him in the lineup if he keeps hitting like he is.

Another sweep is very possible the Twins coming up next. Have to keep pace with Detroit. Wonder who's gonna blink first.?
