Good lord what a dog fight. I don't know if my heart, head or stomach is gonna take 7 more games this year. Holy crap, what a scrap.

I know exactly what you mean.
Spurs losing the 2013 NBA Finals in 7 games broke my heart in about 34 different ways. Not exaggerating.
Wept when they made it back to the Finals the next year. Was so proud of them for battling back to that stage, and them prevailing was that much sweeter.
Royals are on the Spurs' track one year later.
They will get. it. DONE.

There's a few. I wouldn't say it's overwhelming. There are as many if not more Mizzou/Royals fans.
I've always took pride in knowing that the Royals are still a Missouri team supported by Missourians. They are on our side of the state line and we have to keep it that way. The day they drift over to kansas side is the day I become a 100% Cards fan.
To answer your last question, it's simple. Burn lowrents down again.

Jafo gets it. Lifelong Royals fan. There were rumors before we were able to get the stadium pimped out in 2007, the word was the Sporting KC development area put together an attractive package that would have had huge tax incentives. Not exaggerating, when I say the second they cross the state line I would swap my true blue from real red. Let it be likewise known that I have never once in my life rooted for the Cardinals.
For the record I totally respect the Cardinals organization (minus the cyber attacks on Houston), but the 100s of fans I have interacted with over my lifetime that rubbed in their success jaded me.
