Sorry, he just does.

Now the softball team is protesting his handling of the staff.

We've finished last or second to last this year in baseball, basketball, and football. He made a safe hire in football and hasn't given coaches the boot that need it in the other two sports.

The South end zone project that our stadium desperately needs is now out the window.

BUT HEY! We got T-shirt cannons now guys!

Bass was right. He's the Kim Anderson of ADs.

So, you guys dog out the football team when they protested, but stick up for the softball team!

I have no dog in this fight... but when the softball team says you are an a-hole... well you just might be an a-hole.

Earleywine, outside of Smith (wrestling coach), is our most consistent winner and Rhoades is after him because he's too mean. GTFO

I'm not really siding with the softball team, but I do know that Rhoades has bumble fricked everything that's been on his plate outside of hiring Odom and that fell into his lap. I have no doubt he tried to frick that up too but thankfully he couldn't.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first, but he's just fricked up at every turn. He's a clown. frick, give me back Alden at this point.

ikr?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Mack Rhoades makes Alden look like the Jesus of ADs.

He's handling of the football strike was shite.

Now softball is going to hell.

We suck at pretty much everything now.

Mack Rhoades has been here for a year and in that year we've become the biggest laughing stock on and off the field. Our entire athletic department is a dumpster fire right now, an absolute fricking mess. Mack Rhoades has failed miserably as our AD.

Who gives a frick if the players are protesting? It's not their decision.

Now it's apparent that a group of players are complaining about the coach and a group are protesting this thing. Jesus, you'd make a terrible AD.

Mizzou has no leadership. It hasn't in forever. Look what happened to Brady Deaton. Mack Rhoades is doing his job. He has had complaints about Coach E for a full year and these go all the way back to when he took over the softball program. The problem is soft players who can't handle the criticism, complain to everyone. With all the crap going on at Mizzou. MR has to look into it. MR is doing a fine job in the toughest times EVER at Mizzou

That would be one thing, but the players seem to be fairly united in protesting the treatment of their coach, not how their coach treats them. This does not look like pampered players whining about their coach being too much of a meanie. Maybe Rhoades is just a bad AD who is making tough times worse at Mizzou.

Would it happen at all to be related to playing time and/or the ones that got kicked off the team?

EE is a blunt guy, but even in his fiery emails, I never saw anything that crossed the line IMO. Would be a massive shame to lose him over something stupid.

The team is not united in the playing protest. They have had complaints from inside and outside of the program. This has been going on for a while.

Holy shite Coach EE is mean and uses bad words
Oh and we still have Coach Smith and wrestling which is a great program so everything is not a dumpster fire. Football has to step up though or we are truly a laughing stock.

As to Rhoades, can't get rid of the guy no different than you could get rid of KA after 1 year. Having said that, I can grade him out on what he has done so far.

Retaining KA? He had no choice after year 1 but to do so. Hard to hold that against MR. After year 2 of record setting play? Wellllll, still might have been hard to fire KA and hire someone new.

Extending TJ? I guess it depends on what someone was saying the other day is true or not. If TJ was given a series of 3 one year contracts, then I get it. He wasn't ready to make coaching changes before he even had a desk in his office. If it's truly a 3 year deal, bad, bad decision. I suppose we will find out shortly once the season is over.

Hiring Odom? Safe choice I suppose that is impossible to say if MR did the right thing or not yet.

Handling team protest? Probably his 2nd biggest fail so far. He couldn't leave the door open for this to become a regular thing. I think he's done an ok job after time but was lousy at the outset.

On this softball thing? Who knows? I can't even figure out what it is exactly about. My guess is he probably made some comment about some gal being on the rag and to quit her whining, they probably took it too serious and went to the AD's office and now they're obligated to at least look into it. Given that at least someone currently on the team/staff seems to have filed a complaint, I'm not sure what else MR can do.

Bottom line is the honeymoon period is over. Much like KA, anything moving forward doesn't have the luxury of saying it was first year growing pains.

The softball investigation sounds like it came about as a result of the girl that was dismissed a few weeks ago.
Until Mizzou actually makes a commitment to baseball, it really doesn't matter who the coach is.
Suprised KA still has his job. But giving him a 3rd year was probably the safe move.
He's had the deal with a ton of shite in 12 months on the job.

If EE gets fired for cursing I will pull my annual donation. I'm only a gold donor, but I will be dang if I'm going to give a cent to an administration that that fires one of the best coaches we have had in any sport for the past 20 years for poor language.

LINK

Listening to EE's interview, I don't see how MR can do anything but investigate. Couple of players currently on the team. Been dealing with it for a month now. Couple of players didn't like the way some exchanges went between them and EE.

Sounds like Harvey's dismissal is also a part of it. Sounds like some of the girls just don't like foul language.
