Anyone here live in the bootheel? I'll be there in early June for a family reunion.

My stepfather has a friend in Kennett. Been down there a few times. It's a little south of my folks, but in same viscinity. We know someone who is supposed to be getting a suite at the Cardinals game sometime in June, so I'll probably be over there to visit my folks.

It is Arkansas as far as I'm concerned.

Both my grandparents grew up in Glennonville. Between them they probably made up 5% of the town at least.

How did you end up in the Sunshine state?

After I retired from the Air Force in '99 I went to work overseas in some really shitty places but the pay was good and I didn't go overseas to make friends anyway. Anyway when I got back to the states I started looking for a job and got hired by a company in Orlando. Got laid off in '09 and now am in Tampa with Special Ops Command....love it & love Tampa times infinity over Orlando.

Somehow I just figured I'd end up in FL and lo & behold here I am.

If Missouri would cede the bootheel to Arkansas, the average IQ of both states would go up about 5 points.

Bader peaches are great too. Also 5% because both my grandparents had 17 brothers and sisters.

Probably....it's really the only Mizzou game I can attend unless there's a FL bowl game.
