If you are in Kennett you should try Strawberry's in Holcomb (pronounced Hawkem). It is less than 15 miles north of Kennett. It is a small restuarant, but it is really good. It might be the best place to eat in the bootheel. Sikeston isn't in the bootheel and I think Lambert's is overrated.

I haven't been to Lambert's in ages. If I am down in Kennett I will give that place a try. What do you suggest?

I eat there two or three times per year.

Meat loaf, roast beef, fried chicken, country fried round steak, hamburger steak, whatever... It's all pretty good.
