New Mizzou Poster Guidelines

As was briefly discussed in the Tiger Tales thread, I think it would be a good idea to have a few guidelines to help new Mizzou posters get off to the right start on the rant. Killz was nominated to develop these, but has yet to chime in. So, I thought I'd start a thread, and we can make our suggestions.
1. Have Fun. This is the most important rule.
2. If you disagree with other Mizzou posters, please try and keep in the Mizzou board - not the Rant or the OTB. Unless they're trolling badly, then feel free.
3. If someone tells you a new poster should go to the TigerRant OT and introduce themselves - ignore them. You would come to regret this move.
4. Learn to recognize the trolls. If it's Porker Face, Dale Denton, Latarian, Sun Hog - you can bet that what they post about Mizzou is meant to rustle your jimmies. Do not fall for this.

Great list so far Semo. How about:
5. Don't feel the need to post a 5 page dissertation on the civil war and how a good chunk of the state fought for the South just to try to fit in. Not only do we not need to define or defend ourselves, but such posts have been done to death already.

Newcomers,
Your very first post should persuade SEC fans that Mizzou belongs in the SEC because of our Confederate loyalties during the Civil War.
The rant respects Mizzou posters who know their history and who prove with facts that they belong in the south..

Do not start threads in the secrant. We've had way too many why don't you like us threads. We've also had way too many mizzou informative threads, no one here gives a shite an if they do they will ask whatever question they have in a thread.
Realistically we came to the best college conference an have been completely lackluster all around. Until we do something we don't have much to talk about here

Nope. Still on my interstellar journey, but not much is happening beyond the Heliopause. The next star system can't get here fast enough.

Oh, I think we can start threads, as long as they're not BS. If you start one about how great Mizzou is, or how we're gonna dominate at anything, just expect to be hazed.

This is not really a rule, but JFYI, that the ugly ranters you run into on SECrant are but a very small fraction of the fan bases and not a true reflection as a whole. 
Also, if you create threads on the rant, please keep it to one per day or maybe week. Put creative thought into it before taking the big step and goooooo Jumbo!
Never, never ever ever never ever mention KU or the Big12 either. They are very proud of themselves in stating they could care less and they probably do. If you feel the need to bash KU, just come back into the team board and start a thread here.
Fair warning, porkerface is in love with everything Mizzou. If there is a Mizzou thread, PF will be in it somewhere in it at some point and PF has much affection for us Mizzou fans.

As a non-Mizzou fan, I will have to agree with kills on this one and I will add, ALWAYS profess how Southern you are based on the fact that Quantrill burned down Lawrence, KS. People on the rant respect that...

It is 2013. Mizzou is a SEC school. We are fans of an SEC school. Our team sucked arse in the first season and nothing will change that. I'm not kissing any other SEC asses try and fit in. I'm glad Mizzou is in the club but we owe no one anything for that. We will soon learn how much money we are worth to everyone in the SEC conference. Mizzou will earn respect over time by winning.

In case I need to clarify....this thread was meant mostly in jest. The only serious part was to warn new posters of some of the rant's more common pitfalls. I don't think we need to convince anyone we belong - we're here, and not leaving.

I think toptiger missed Semo's number 3 on the list. Just saw he did as someone told him to and posted on TD's OT trying to get on our board.
