If you make your account private it won't show up on google. people don't realize this. I think private accounts are annoying, but there is something to be said about protecting yourself.

I was actually reading the phog.net thread earlier tonight. There are a few defending Dixon, but most of them want to throw him under the prison no trial. Its pretty pathetic actually.

So she has roommates that never heard a thing? With roommates that close she could have yelled for help and ended things pretty damn quickly. Dixon rolls over to put a condom on and she doesn't try to run or scream? After the sex, she can get up, get dressed, but instead of running or screaming, gets back in bed and gives him a handjob without any protests? Ummmmm, ok. She doesn't go to the hospital right away? She doesn't call police right away? She walks Dixon to the door on his way out? She only contacts police after tweeting to Dixon that he should show her more attention and apparently he doesn't give her enough attention? At this point, I'll side with Kimmie. Okay...I just read the entire report. I believe that the sexual encounter did indeed happen. But, I'm not sure it was rape.
There are glaring questions (holes) in her report. If she was forcibly raped, why didn't she use multiple opportunities to leave the bedroom and get away from Michael Dixon?
They go to the bedroom and sit on the bed to simply talk. They consensually kiss.
Now let's assume that he did indeed proceed to rape her. After this occurs, she locates her pajamas and then goes to the bathroom. She comes out of the bathroom and goes back to the bed to sit next to a now shirtless Michael Dixon.
He asks her to put her hand on his richard to finish the job. She admits to doing this without hesitation! She tells the detective that she wasn't sure why she did it. She just did.
Once he finishes, he leaves the apartment.
The Police Department downloads her text messages which reveals that she continued her pursuit of Dixon after the alleged rape. Why would a rape victim pursue her attacker after the rape? That doesn't make sense.
She tells him that she feels used and is upset that he didn't call her after their sexual encounter. He apologizes to her and indicates that he's been too busy with practice to call. This upsets her because at this point she realizes she was a one night stand.
Cue vindictive scorned lover...

Kills, you're absolutely right. I feel like as a woman, it's my responsibility to communicate very clearly about whether I want to have sex, and my words and actions need to match. At best, she was giving mixed signals here, leading to a he said-she said.
She had several opportunities to stop this encounter before it really even started. Before they went into the bedroom. Before they laid down on the bed. When he was undressing her. (a well-placed knee works wonders there if he's not listening.) When he stopped to put on a condom. She had opportunities, and did not take them. Then there's the handy before he bounced and the follow-up "let's hang out again sometime" text. The other factor is that she said she was never scared of him. Some women will not fight back because they're afraid, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
Now, she is a sophomore, so maybe 19? And presumably less experienced than Dixon. He's an athlete, and apparently used to sleeping around, one night stands, etc. She wanted a boyfriend, and he was not applying for the job. I'm not saying she's a liar about how it happened, but I don't see it as rape. She was coerced, cajoled, talked into it....but I don't believe raped. Her actions were not consistent with being raped. Rather, she was used.
If he had been lovey-dovey afterward, offered to take her out to dinner....the claim of rape would not have happened. I think she realized he had no intention of dating her, and then decided it was rape. I hope they both learned a good lesson here. Girls, don't give it up expecting to get a boyfriend, it doesn't work that way - you don't get a boyfriend with sex. And guys, respect women, please, and don't sleep around unless you're sure you are on the same page about it.
