This offense has 2 guys playing that have experience and are playing the same position that they have experience playing. And both are dealing with injuries. Boehm & Hansbrough, 3 if you include Culkin. It's not surprising that they would struggle. Last year Henson figured out what worked and made changes, the offense ended up being ok last year.

Mizzou won't face another defense close to as good as Florida. No defense that Mizzou faces scared me the way Florida did. Mizzou has a very good defense, so it won't take much improvement on offense to salvage a 7-8 win season in a rebuild year.

It will take improvement.

Vandy will shut down our offense.
Tennessee will score.
Arkansas will score.
BYU will score.

Those are our most winnable games left. We need two of those to get to the Tidy Bowl. It's going to be close.

Pinkel is not going anywhere and we all know that.

Defense has carried Mizzou for a while now. I'd like to see Pinkel go very un-Pinkel and "nuclear" ALL the offensive coaches arses. A MAJOR blood letting. Fire 'em all on that side of the ball. Maybe keep Andy Hill around, but not as QB coach.

Then hire the absolute best O coaching talent in the US that he can obtain. What ever it takes. Big splash, big hires. This alone should also help recruiting and straighten out the putrid O. It shows the world he is dead serious. He finishes his career strong.

Maybe it's just a piss poor plan from the start and Pinkel is too stubborn to acknowledge it.

Florida is the best team that Mizzou will face all year. Their offense is as good as Mizzou will face and only managed to put up 2 successful drives against the Mizzou defense.

With the defense Mizzou has there isn't a game left of the schedule that Mizzou can't win. The offense doesn't have to be good just adequate.

And there lies the problem, because they are neither one of those.

Really only 1 or 2 good defense left for Mizzou to face.

There's three good Defenses left.

MSU's defense is better than UConns.
I'd advise you to quit trying to stat away our offensive woes. Our offense sucks.

I know the offense is bad, but most of the struggles have been expected.

UGA seems to be the only D left with a good pass rush. So I expect a now healthy Boehm & Hansbrough led offense to be more like what I saw against USCe in the first half.

Tennessee will get pressure on our QB and stop our run game. Vandy will stop our run game. MSU will stop our run game.

Just depends on how much we can get out of Russ.

Georgia will likely dominate us, but other than that they are all winnable. We'll just have to play. Realistically though, 6 or 7 wins is probably our ceiling.

This is the truth. I also agree with previous posters that Ricker needs to be shown the door.

so then is it Andy Hills or Brian Jones turn as OC, because as Pinkel likes to remind us "why go outside and hire when I can just promote from within" wasn't that his "reasoning" on making Yost OC. Yes I believe it was.

Did Pinkel promote coach Kul as DC after Steck left? Nope, Pinkel went outside the team and hired the most capable DC available. Right? Just happened to be a former Mizzou coach, but it was still an outside hire.

Pinkel got out coached badly in this game and it's something you might as well get used to, it's been going on for a long time now.

What gives you the idea that Pinkel was out coached? The offense sucked big time because his OC sucks dog shite. Henson couldn't coordinate his way off a one way street. His offense is flat as hell, he doesn't use the players he needs to use leading me to believe Henson either is horrible at evaluating players in practice, or he has something against some players. There is no logical reason you can say that as a coach, you have two perfectly healthy players at RB and you still play a crippled up RB instead. It screams ignorance, or there's something else going on. But there was no way Pinkel was out coached.

because it's clear that he was, McElwain is a real deal, good offensive football coach, Pinkel knows nothing about defense and might be average on his best day on offense, which is how he got out coached. What "screams ignorance" is refusal to recognize the obvious, and rant about firing assistants and Henson, who is far better than Yost and maybe better than Dave Christensen, so tell me more about how Pinkel went out and found an OC? Oh that's right according to his own words there was no need, since he can just "coach up" an OC from in house. It's clear he isn't in the ball park of being the great "OC" he and most of you seem to think he is.

So Mizzou losing had nothing to with the fact that Florida's defense had a huge talent advantage over Mizzou's offense? That's interesting
