Baseball got off to an even better start last year and failed to make the tourney.
TJ underachieves with the talent he gets. Take away the short stint with Scherzer and Crow and he's mediocre at best and I think only made the tourney twice. Once in 1996 and again in 2012 when a barely .500 team found a way to win the Big 12 tourney. The other 11 seasons he didn't even make the tourney.
He's ok at developing arms and horrible at developing bats. All coaches do it to a degree, but TJ is horrendous at playing favorites regardless of talent level.
He's an ok coach but no where near a good coach.
