Mizzou has put more DLs into the NFL than those schools over the last 5-7 years.

Well, his last 3 jobs have been the Bears, LSU, and Texas.

Kind of hard to know.

His DL performed very well in both his years at Texas, and he has long recruiting ties in both states.

Go back and look at his guys at LSU. His DEs were all similar to Ealy, Ray, Sam, the Smiths...

The real difference is on the interior. He has consistently had a two deep of top 20 players at NT and DT.

He might be able to get that kind of talent if he is given the time. He has a bunch of connections.

He needs to be able to coach up 2-3 star players that Mizzou would put in his hands.

If his guys were similar, then whats the hold up? Get him while there is some recruiting time left.

Would we rather have him or promote Renna?

That may not be bad, but I think I'd take the guy with the experience.

What makes you think he can't bump the recruiting in that room? He is pretty well known in Texas and Louisiana.

If he already has relationships with the gatekeepers in the Texas High schools, I say take him. We need back in Texas.

I'd take Haley's experience in the living room.

If Odom hires him what will it indicate about the defensive line style we'll be employing?

Kuligowski attacking style or the read and react style?

When you look at the kids he has recruited in the past, 6'4" 260 range coming in, those kids are better suited to maintain 2 gaps. If he brings those kind of kids to Mizzou, that gives Odom more options. If recruiting stays the way it is with the 2-3 star, 220lb kids with a great first step, then he probably stays attacking. At least with Haley, BO has a chance to get the kids he needs for his 2 gap DL scheme.

He had a couple that came in that way that grew out of the position and he moved them inside like Micheal Brockers. He recruited Lavar Edwards as a DT and had him drop weight to play outside.

Guys like Mingo and Jermauria Rasco were 205 and 215 as recruits.

He recruits to a similar body type and coaches one gap technique. They major difference is that 90% are elite level recruits. Maybe he can convince the local guys to stay and get a couple from out of state. I don't see any downside to Odom hiring him, but the point remains is that he will be taking over a room closer to what he had at Mississippi State than LSU.

Here is his 24/7 recruit list. Even his targets were good size kids.

Fellas

I'm not sure there's a lot of value in looking at who this guy recruited while he was at LSU and Texas.

Like NN put it. We'd know exactly how good, or not Haley is.

I think he's well worth a shot.
