I guess the innuendo sounded different to me. Sort of like the rank and file of the athletic department, which seem like normal campus employees, had a certain way of doing things (that have resulted in widespread failure) and didn't want to change.

Yeah this thread sucks. I’m going to pretend I didn’t read it and whoever these “people” are that are not allowing our AD to make AD decisions if true, are pieces of shits.

Period.

MU athletics also spent a record amount of money — more than $125 million — but the $15 million surplus marks a stark contrast from five consecutive years of operating at a deficit under past leadership.

Not a rumor, but DRF news. I am sure this will get folks riled up.

First time the the athletic department has reported a budget surplus in six years. Guess she is doing something right.

Things are trending up for MU fans.

Big game today in front of a full house.
New QB in the room.

Alabama is due for a L and MU, if making shots, can do it.

Yeah, I'm thinking someone needs to 86 this thread. It's pretty stupid honestly.

Oh, I’m sure someone will criticize her for not spending “enough” money

It is a big leap to assume that it wasn't from some creative accounting.
Where is the revenue stream that flipped the deck? Maybe against the previous 2 years' attendance $ I can buy it, but the 3 years before covid was a factor? And in the face of us spending more?

I would point out that most of the money being spent is not coming from the Department. Which is a point in DRFs favor, though a lot of it predates her tenure.

If I were looking at a company's yearly financials and saw this, I would be suspicious. All I was trying to convey.
I've never had anything to say about DRF, as far as I remember.
I do think something stinks in our AD, and has since before her arrival. Hard to be bad at so many sports for so long.

Can we get any clarity now that she’s gone?

Drinkwitz isn’t crying today. He is probably going to have a spring in his step.

Was there some unspoken turbulence between the two of them or what?

All I can see is multiple fired ADs over the course of a decade with shitty sports showing across all sports except football in spurts. Seems like there’s only one common denominator. The BoC.

You don’t usually have coaches airing grievances with their boss in public.

Did I miss something because I don’t recall any beef Drink had? Point me in the right direction?

She didn’t want to extend him. She got overruled.

Ah. Yea. I suppose that’d do it.

Who exactly do we go out and find though with a looming control panel?
