Something ive heard mumblings about from my connections inside the athletic department (no idea if true or just gossip) but she doesnt take outside advice (boosters) she has her mind set on something and does it regardless.

That is the way it should be assuming she is competent. She is the one hired to make decisions. She has to live with them. She has no responsibility to listen to others.
If she makes bad choices then fire her.
