Brendan Scales, the star TE from Lafayette who committed to @AlabamaFTBL, had a great visit to @MizzouFootball this weekend. @haveachance

He's been on this for a week or more.

I think he's friends / friendly with Scales' father and close to the situation.

Both played basketball at DeSmet. Separated by a number of years, but still.

Football smart for Stanford and regular admission for Stanford are two different things.

A degree from Stanford counts the same either way.

End of D-Line Zou? D-Line Zou was built on 2-3 star guys. I'm trying to figure out why people are still panicking, this class is a solid MU class.

Itsnnot the recruits who will end D-line Zou, its the fact that we don't have a DLine coach.

Based on the other hires by BO I'm pretty confident that the new DL coach will be good.

Man, that kid really blew up. Kind of a cool story. Would love to land him, but that will be a tough pull.

We will get him, because we offered first. At least that's what I tell myself.

Well, apparently Barton Simmons of 247 said he was trending Mizzou. So we shall see.

I think we get Jacobs, word from PM was that he and his family love Walters and being the first big time program to show interest and offer is a big deal to him and his family. We'll see if that holds true, but I hope so. Also said we'd take both Jacobs and Byrd, as Jacobs is more an all purpose player like Marcus Murphy, can play RB, Slot WR, kick/punt returner, etc.

That would be way too many RB I think. Would have to start doing some serious processing.

Witter, Walters, Williams and move Doherty to safety

Then we'd still have Strong, Abbington, Crocket, Jacobs, Byrd

Will Strong be able tomete JUCO in 1.5 years? Could be some questions on that.
Also of the backs that come back, what have any of them proven?
Take any back that you believe is better than what you have.
Jacobs may be looked at as a Murphy style back also. So can split out and play in the slot, PR/KR, in addition to playing RB.

You don't think they show Witter some loyalty for playing 2 years? I can see not starting him but I don't think he gets processed.

Strong is on track to be here for fall camp from everything I've seen.

I'm all for taking the guys if they think they are better than what we have coming back. We just can't have 10 scholarship RB. That's some serious roster imbalance

I think you're ahead of the game. Spring practice will decide a lot of fates.

Everybody should know jobs are on the line in April.

I'm sure Witter knows or should know his job is on the line.

Walters should probably know, he's spending too much time on the IR list.

Where Doherty's future lies.

Seriously, I still see question marks with Abbington.

Is anyone planning on going to the event Thursday in St Louis? At the Edward Jones building in Des Peres. $10, and Odom is supposed to be there.

I've been to them in the past. They use to be free admission, with cash dinner and cash bar.

AND you forgot to mention the raffle. Lucky winner gets 4 tickets to a Basketball game. I'm sure that's a big draw.
