Haven't got to look much yet, but who are the biggest fish in this class that we have a shot with? No 4*s in state has me a bit worried.

The kid out of Rockhurst is a 4*. Either a RB or DB.
Beyond that, it's frankly a little bit early for these ranking services. They concentrate first on the bigger states before getting around to really looking at Missouri kids.
I've been really high on the Tre Bryant kid, a RB out of CBC. Watched him play a number of times and was always impressed. CBC has a couple other kids that could be WR/DB type of player.
I think the Powell kid may end up with an impressive offer list. He's up in the Hannibal area I think.

Also I've only looked at rivals as of now and the only way you get a 4* is if Bama offers it seems like. Either way, beyond excited for the next 12 months of mizzou football. Spring game next month!

That is a must view. Remember too. This kid is 2 or 3 years younger than the guys they're playing. While I don't know who they're playing in each highlight, I do know that they play a tough schedule. They usually travel to play 1 or 2 games around the country against some top teams. Think they went and played a powerhouse team in Ohio this last year.
I want this kid in black and gold as much as I wanted TBJ.

Ya know, I usually shrug off it off when people want to compare a recruit to Richardson, Aldon Smith or JMac. The comparison to JMac at this stage in their respective careers is totally justified IMO.

Jeff Thomas is a kid we can't afford to miss out on because if he isn't making big plays for Mizzou, it's guaranteed to be someone. It's just crazy having someone of his ability in our backyard. They need to start working on his grades and test scores now.

The academic standards change this recruiting cycle, making it harder to qualify. So, academics are probably being pushed by all coaching staffs.

Just posted in the other thread the interview Cusumano did with Thomas' coach. They hit on Thomas during that interview. Mizzou actually offered him before he was even in high school.

The scary part is that he is probably not even done growing. If he ends up 6'1"-6'3", my god.

Update the offer lists and videos on the first page. Only using 247 and Rivals this year. Scout changed their format and it's near impossible to navigate. Plus, they're usually off more than the other 2, missing guys who have offers and so forth.
