I would love to see a pipeline into the Dakotas...not joking. Big German farm boys make good linemen. The schools up there tend to put together decent teams of kids nobody has ever heard of.

Haven't heard anyone bring up Karon Randolph, WR out of E. Stl High. Already has an offer from Florida state. He's 6'4" and 190 lbs. I'm surprise Mizzou hasn't offer him yet. Seems like a decent BBall player too.

Little surprised too. Some big names at least looking. Here's a quick blurb.

Obviously, I'm sure the staff is fully aware of him and have, in fact, spoken to him. Hell, half their team came to COMO last spring. 6'4" with 4.4 or so speed? I'm guessing FSU offered last week to try to get TBJ. Wonder if it is a commitable offer.

Just from early looks, it seems this might be the year to really test GP and his recruiting abilities. Not a huge core to build on in Missouri. Some solid players but not like this last year. kansas has a 4* DE from Lawrence. Most of the talent in Illinois seems to revolve around Chicago, where we still seem to struggle getting players from. Across the river is a 4* RB at O'Fallon (Hendrix' old school) and ESL has a WR and OT.

GP is probably gonna have to reach beyond more this coming year than this past year.

Yeah 2016 looks a little light nationwide. I even noticed in 2015, the heralded DE's were listed at 6'2" which means they are really around the 6" range, smaller than previous years. Beckners pic standing next to Sheldon Richardson confirms his height.

Seems like the services are doing more "manufacturing" of recruiting rankings for 2016. Is it a bad thing to just say 2016 is an off year and rate honestly?

I guess one 2016 signee will probably be Joseph Richard, WR, out of CPA in Nashville. I'm guessing he is Thomas Richard brother. 247 has him 100% to Mizzou.

If I remember correctly, Joseph was the more highly rated of the brothers. That would be a good get out of Nashville for us.

He has no offers yet, plus it looks like he's getting some looks from LSU and Fla. St.

I mentioned it in the Pat Ivey thread, but I love this idea. You're exactly right. The one position group the Upper Midwest can generate top end talent at is offensive line. Why not use our location to try to mine the Upper Midwest for kids who would like to play in the SEC? Love it.

So Missouri is the top SEC school on his radar. That gives us a good chance.

Boy, does Maty Mauk need to have an accurate year so WRs see this as a destination school again.

maybe GP and the staff should just take this year off, and devote it all to getting Thomas (WR) from Illinois, Epenesa (DE) from Illinois, and Smalling (WR) from Illinois.

I kid of course, but it would be great to get an early jump on those 3, all ranked in 247's top 108 prospects

What I'm reading from the Tennesee page losing Hendrix should only help Mizzou in recruiting the southern Illinois area. I'msure the high school coaches have taken notice of how these other schools are processing players. Urban Myer is one of the worst outside the SEC.
