So who is this years featured recruit? Who gets the TBJ, DGB treatment that last weekend of recruiting? Normally we have some idea. I, for one, have no clue.

Martin is recruited at DT, at least that's what every thing written about his commitment says.

I hope we just get the current class filled out so we can focus on 2017. That class could be unprecedented.

General Question... How important is immediate, freshman playing time to these high-end recruits?
And I wonder if the success of the true freshmen this year will influence GP to let more play in the future?

Depends on the recruit. Some are drawn to the Nick Saban plan of only starting 1 year and heading to the NFL. Saban sells the idea you only have X amount of plays in your healthy life; why waste them in college, save them for the NFL. Saban tells them since they play for bama, they'll get drafted anyway. This works well for 5* recruits.
Others want to prove something now. this work great for 3* recruits.

Apparently he reached out to Mizzou and said he's interested in us and wants to visit. Would love to land him, 6'2 230 RB would be awesome, pair him with a (hopefully) improved Abbington and we'd have a heck of a backfield.

I've personally noticed 5 star recruits seem to prefer a chance at early playing time.

Could be a great weekend to show off the ZOU to recruits...Hopefully we can sneak off with a W. We've got lots of bball visitors as well. Awesome weekend to bring in recruits with homecoming and a night game! Hopefully the birds don't steal too much thunder from COMO. I'm going to have a sports overload this weekend!
