Agreed. If Anderson lands Cook, it will be a successful recruiting season in my book.

Two huge accomplishments - 1) top 75 player, 4*
And probably more important 2) land a top flight St. Louis kid. Mizzou hasn't done that in basketball for way too long.

Wait. Are my eyes deceiving me?

It looks to me that you can be critical of bad things and yet still be positive about good things?

So it is possible?!?!? Novel concept.

I think we will be able to look back and say that the '15 class was actually a really good one.

Don't know that there are any all conference players, but there are 4-5 guys that fill key needs.

There may well be 4-5 Rex Hudler's in this class. Just not gonna win much of anything with a team full of Rex Hudler's. Gotta have some Pujols', Waino's or Molina's in the mix somewhere.

I can see myself actually liking some of these guys in this class. They just have to be surrounded by top talent if we want to win something.

RockmNation's breakdown on the recruits.

Some combination of Cook Jackson and another big would work nicely.

Walton & Phillips both are high potential guys that look to be building blocks. Just needs some bigs. Gant could fill that role.

Gant's not a big. He may turn into one. But he wasn't recruited as one. His points last year mostly come from mid range jumpers. Not inside the paint.

Gant was recruited as a stretch 4. Perfect role for him. I have said numerous times that you can win without a true 5. It's obviously easier with one.

Seems like a weird offer. 5 star out of state, late in the process.

The kid plays on Andrew Wiggins AAU team, which we apparently have a connection to with Fulford.

But until he developers a shot hes not in ideal stretch 4.

So kinda what LBow was his first couple years.

Gant has good form and touch out to about 15-16 feet last year. Not hard to see him developing out to 3pt range.

With Phillips they just need Gant & Woods to be consistent in the 15-18 range and be able to finish at the rim.
If they can do that then the team will take a big step this year. If not they will struggle.

We also need Woods to qualify and make it to campus. Hopefully we hear something on his status this week.

I thought I read something last week about him being ready to enroll.

I don't like the sound of "Hail Mary" PF offers.

OK, someone asked Gabe on PM in the past couple of days and he said he still hadn't heard one way or the other. I'd assume he'd qualify.

Gant will be fine. He's actually got a good shot out to 15. He just needs more confidence and more strength because even if he's taking mid-range jumpers, we need him on the boards. Not saying he's the next Derrick Chievous or whoever but he'll be fine.

The offer absolutely baffles me. It really just seems like we're throwing darts against the dartboard blindfolded. I'm sure KA has some rhyme or reason for what he does but the hell if I can figure it out. This is the exact type of guy he said they wouldn't waste their time with and he's pursuing him. Tatum is the exact type of guy he said they would waste their time on and he stops pursuing him.

Announced today Woods qualified and will be here at the start of school. So that's good news.
