If someone wants to actually try to do a thread that updates offers and commits in the first post, feel free to create it and I'll delete this thread or let it fade away. Otherwise, we'll just start the discussion here on the the next class.

Well, I guess this is the thread then. I ain't putting together a list of offers and commits though. If someone else wants to do that, I'd be more than happy to unpin this one and pin the new one.

In the meantime, I think someone on here had talked about these youngsters in the other thread. Gonna guess Mizzou hasn't offered.

Are we really complaining about slow playing 2018 kids?

We offered Troy Baxter yesterday.

We offered Joey Brunk today.

We have about 17 offers out right now to 2016 kids. About 6 offers so far to 2017 kids. Probably 0 offers out to 2018 kids though.

Ok, last post tonight I swear. I feel like I'm just sharting up the board because I'm a little crunked tonight.

I really hope Tate goes hard after Tatum under KA's direction.

I feel like Tatum only have 4 teams in what was supposed to be his top 5(maybe I'm misinterpreting that IDK) was a challenge to Missouri, and I hope KA isn't the kind of punk that will just roll over.

Now maybe Tatum and his pops actually went and told Missouri they have NO chance and to not call anymore, but if that's not the case we better go hard.

Naw, just more of an observation, though if they're in state kids and they're good enough, yeah, they should have an offer. That is unless they're just too good to come to Mizzou like KA talked about and he's just not going to pursue them as hard as other kids kind of like Tatum. Not being snarky, KA just might not like those type of players for his system.

too good? I think you are taking his quote out of context.

Its more about recruiting players that the coaching staff/school have some sort of relationship with. Any instate kid already qualifies for relationship.

What you won't see is going after kids from Florida or California that the staff have no existing relationship with.

The elite recruits its more about the relationship with the kids handlers than the player itself.

Ramey is gonna be a stud, and Gordon is looking to transfer to Webster to continue to play along side of Ramey(like AAU)

WG about to win another state champ boys!

Yeah your taking one sentence in an entire presser and spinning it. If you don't think the staff knows whats going on with Porter while his father is employed with the women"s team I really don't know what to say. It doesn't mean they will get him. I don't know and nor do you. You guys act as though going to Duke to play for Coach K is crazy compared to playing for your home state....Oh yeah and it's not even his home state

The question is whats the chances Porter goes to mizzou if his dad is here at the time, verses if he's not working for mizzou. 90/10? maybe even 95/5?

Don't know if out of context or not, but maybe I misunderstood. I took it to mean not pursuing elite recruits because we weren't landing any of them, which made sense to me when right in the same time frame as him saying that Tatum cut Mizzou out. So I took it to mean pursuing more guys like Puryear/Allen than Tatum/Porter.

I agree with you about the handlers and I assumed that is again why he meant not pursuing elite talent, because he never had to develop those relationships with the handlers.

Maybe I just misinterpreted his quote but with it seemed to make sense.

And I said something about Porter where????

And yes, I get the lure of Duke or UNC or kU. But that's why KA gets paid the big bucks to counteract that lure, kind of like Howland in Mississippi and Anderson in Arkansas.

"I think what we have to do at Missouri is, and every school has to do this, I think they have to know who they can recruit," Anderson said. "Who fits the University of Missouri. And I'm not saying that, I think you have to know who you can successfully recruit and then recruit those people. I think that's what we're trying to do. We're trying to recruit guys that fit into our program, guys that want to be here, guys that we can develop and good players."

"I'm not saying we don't want the five-star guy," Anderson said. "I'm not saying that. I'm just saying we have to know who we can recruit."

I have seen a lot of discussion on recruiting omit the second sentence. Mizzou still want's talent, just not on the level of Kentucky & Duke and be in the door with all the elite talent.

Not that I really care any more, but you've said on multiple threads how we need to land Tatum and Porter or it's a knock/strike against KA.....Good night for the ZOU in the 2nd round.

Not sure what your point is. Are you talking basketball or football?

Yeah, in my estimation, not being able to land either Tatum or Porter is a knock against KA. It's not the death knell, but it's certainly a knock. Not sure what that has to do with offering the 2018 kids either. And yes, it was a good day in the 2nd round for the ZOU. Happy for those guys. Was happily surprised that Morse and Golden went that high. Good for them.

Reedus23,

When was the last time Mizzou signed a top in state talent? Off the top of my head Kareem Rush. I'm hoping KA can change that.
