Great preview! And welcome MizzouJim!

You know, along the lines of Jim's thinking, I heard Jason Seahorn talking about this matchup the other day. He was thinking the same thing. Don't try to get pressure on Manziel, instead try to keep him in the pocket and force him to throw. Take away his mobility by putting steady pressure on the pocket and collapse it around him. Interesting approach, and I hope it works!

Explain how Vandy, FLA & KY were in the games? Vandy NEVER stopped our offense, FLA has no offense and KY kept giving us short fields.

I said we had total control of games but failed to put teams totally away when we had the chance. This bit us in the arse against USC, the point was we can't let it happen again.

Vandy - this one is a little bit of a stretch, but we kept letting them nibble back in the game. We could have turned it into a total blowout, but it was still a game when they made it 37-21 in the 3rd quarter. We went up 20-0 in this game.

UK- 28-3 at the half. Game over.. but they outscored us in the 3rd, making it somewhat of a game for longer than it should have been.

FLA- It was 23-17 in the 3rd quarter.. we were controlling the game but not pulling away, kept letting them have life.

The score of the FL game indicated the game was close but in reality it wasn't; they had 1 drive and 1 kick-off return for TDs & the rest was pretty much 3 & outs.

The other 2 were blowouts and we didn't play very well against KY. Offensively the Vandy game was impressive.

I see Mizzou putting it's stamp on this game against A&M.

Really well done. I completely agree with the Don't Tease Me part. I was having a discussion with a local fan after the Ole Miss game and mentioned that I'd missed the Indiana game while on vacation, but didn't feel comfortable about the results of any game I'd seen until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter.

He disagreed and said Mizzou had been dominant, I kicked him in his shin.

I'm glad someone else has noticed that was actually a thing and it wasn't just me being overly cautious Mizzou guy.

Great preview!

Loved
"The Good, The Bad, and The Prize"

I believe Mizzou can make it happen with a win over aTm. BTW, I am still a little nervous knowing that anything can happen in college football, especially in November.

The lack of smack talk from other fan bases predicting a Mizzou loss, is also a little unnerving.

I was shocked when I saw LSU do this exact thing. There some occasions when it was dramatic-the DE had open space between himself and Manziel and stopped dead in his tracks and moved in more slowly so that Manziel couldn't juke him and take off.

I don't know that we have the athletes other than Gaines who can be in coverage long enough to make this effective, but I'm guessing we will do a lot of it as part of the different defensive looks we throw at Manziel.

I agree with you and Rodeo. (Nice write-up, too)

To put it another way... You never felt like we were going to lose, but never felt comfortable enough to light the Red Auerbach victory cigar until midway through the 4th.

Thanks, fixed.

I'd blame it on being sleepy when I wrote this, but I bet I would have said Kurt even if I wasn't.

A&M doesnt have a good run game or really that screen back that has killed us tge last few weeks. I think we just need to contain Manziel and let him become impatient and make mistakes. Offensively we should put up 50.

If you have to ask, you don't deserve to know.

I didn't mean that to sound smug. I guess you have your answer, right? Hah.
