DX had some nice moments with the Rams, but those knees stopped him from being the wr he could have been and when he was with the Chargers he clowned big time, but those knees ended that. Maclin was very good with the Eagles and then injuries have hurt his career.

People need to stop saying that if C. Daniels was with the 13 team they would have won a Natty because the 07 team couldn't win one with him. Plus, he played on the 07 team and not the 13 team. Hell, you could have said that if the 07 team had Ray, Golden, Ealy, and Sam they could have been in the position to compete for a Natty. All this "if" stuff is just crazy.

This is a fun debate and now we have come up with the conclusion that the 07 team would have won in a close game. A bubble screen to DX for a 74 yd. td.

Chance McDanielson was truly best QB at Mizzou.

People are also underestimating how good Franklin was in 13. He was lights out.

2007 definitely had the edge on special teams. Wolfert only missed 4 kicks all year, whereas Baggett was erratic. Watching a replay of the 2007 Border War made me appreciate Wolfert even more when he was money and Shithawks kicker missed 2 FG's. Maclin had 3 kickoff/punt returns for scores, and had a better return average than Murphy. Murphy didn't even find the end zone in 2013. The only advantage 2013 had was Brinser averaged 3 more yards than per punt than Crossett.

Fun debate...obviously both teams were very good. I'd take 07' on a j mac kickoff return as time expired for the win.

I think it would be a game very similar to Texas A&M in 13. 13 Missouri uses a lot of running to keep the offense off the field and the defense gives up a couple shots, but locks it down. I think the 13 team was a national championship team undone by coach who doesn't have a slight clue against a specific scheme.

Bagget was 2nd in the nation in touchbacks in 2013. JMac wouldn't have been given that opportunity.

The injury vs UGA cost him a special Sr year. His season averages in the 4 games he missed would have given him 3300 yds passing w/25ish TDs and 700 yds rushing w/10 scoring runs.

With a perfect season, 4000 yds of total offense and 35 scores, he probably goes to NYC to watch Jameis get his trophy.

Yeah...no way j mac gets that opportunity. My thinking was/is whichever team had the ball last would win this game...somehow. Someway. Absolutely loved both of these teams.

QB - '07 - Heisman Finalist
WR - '07 - Way more weapons
RB - '13 - I think '07 doesn't get enough credit. The running game was opened up by the passing attack. But for the sake of Henry Josey, I'll go '13
TE - '07 - Mackey award winner & All-American
OL - '13 - '07 was a really good unit, even if they didn't have many individual studs. But I'll give edge to '13

DL - '13 - '07 was way underrated, despite having multiple draft picks.
LB - '07 - SPOOOOOOOOON
DB - '07 - They were pretty darn good, especially when Pig Brown was healthy.

SCHEDULE: '07 played an additional P5 opponent. '13 played one more ranked opponent (at the time) 7-6. But in terms of where they finished season, its tied 6-6. Illinois went to the Rose Bowl that year.

'07 defense was on the field so much, they gave up more points/yards. Where '13 wins, they barely edge out, when '07 wins, there is some distance.

I'm pretty confident that '07 would win relatively easily. They blew people out. They only lost to 1 team also. Oklahoma just shite the bed when they played Tech and Colorado.

I see alot of recency bias in this thread.

The 13 team wasn't barely winning games. A&M was the only win that year that was less than 14 points.

The 2007 SOS was 30th and their SRS(takes into account SOS and point differential) was 7th.

The 2013 SOS was 13th and their SRS was #4.

If anything, the 07 team was more revered so I don't really see any bias.

I think most just feel the 13 team was better. It would be hard for the 07 team to win a game where they would be controlled on both lines. The 13 team just had more talent up front. Significantly so in my opinion.

4 NFL starters on that OL. The 4 DEs on the 13 team were all drafted, and two of them were SEC defensive POY. The 07 team just can't come close to that.
