I think it would be best for everyone if we let him go the med redshirt route.

From what I've heard, he will not only have to prove that he was injured this year, but he will also have to prove that he was injured his redshirt year to be granted a 6th year.

Russel Wilson transferred after 4 years TO Wisky and was 5th year eligible.

go right ahead. You will run out after two. Don't forget to post the ones where he keeps it and doesn't get anywhere. Also don't forget to post the ones where he gives it but should have kept it and Perkins gets stuffed. TIA

Now, to address the actual game. I would like to say we could afford to do as already mentioned, trot Tyler out there for 1 MAYBE 2 drives

No. You can't trot russell out and waste two possessions against LSU. You trot Dak out there, the guy who appears best for the job. If he doesn't work out, try Russell out. He's a passer. You don't bring the runner in after you are down, especially if he is the better option. I love Tyler, but people have to stop acting like we owe him a start. Start Dak. Let Russell come in and sling it if Dak isn't working. This isn't rocket surgery. And it's what Mullen will do.

Gimme a phuckin break. If he could run, he would have rushing yards. All qb's face the same thing.

In conclusion, what seems to be overlooked (sans when darkhorse brought it up and no one took note because most of what he says is a little ridiculous) is the fact that if the playcalling were the same for Russell as it has been for Dak the past three games, I believe Russell could be successful.

If Mullen or Koenning were ever gonna call a good game with Russell behind center, they would have already done it. The fact is that they don't or can't when Russell is in the game. I'm not saying Russell shouldn't play. He should definitely come in the ballgame and mix things up at some point.

I'm not sure if you're just looking to argue with me, but you pretty much just said exactly what I did in the entirety of my post.

No. You can't trot russell out and waste two possessions against LSU.

I would like to say we could afford to do as already mentioned, trot Tyler out there for 1 MAYBE 2 drives, and let him decide for us. Does well, great. Does horrible, pull him and never look back. However, I'm just not sure we can afford to give those drives to Russell if he does indeed fail. Dak will need a drive or two to get things going if Russell stalls the offense and 4-5 possessions into the game may be too late.

You left that out.

All I did is say the stats were misleading. Never did I say he was successful when running.

What of this do you actually disagree with?

Sorry, man. I was working and skimming stuff and darkhorse gets my jimmies rustled. I thought you were saying that you felt Russell should get the start. My bad. Anyways, #weknow.

I like how the third string guy manages the game when he is in. What year is he?

Yeah, I thought he looked pretty dang good too for being young.

We actually flipped him from Southern Miss at the very end, after a kid from Atlanta (who we thought we had) chose Tennessee, and our back up plan chose Houston.

Needless to say I wasn't expecting much but he looked good.

Damien Williams. The first time he threw a pass against Alcorn, I was like, "Damn." He has got a serious fastball. He could make some better touch passes, but the kid has some talent.

He may even be a better runner than Russell.

Yes, you were supposed to laugh.

I thought the same. His throws look effortless and have some zip on them.

What am I missing here guys? The last 5 games of last year, (except Arky), and OSU this year, Tyler has not done much. He stunk up the bowl game. What makes anyone think he is going to turn it around. In my view, he had his chance, now it is Dak's turn. Dak looks like the prototypical QB to run Mullen's offense, so why delay the inevitable.

Tyler has consistently done well in scripted drives. It's when Mullen gets to calling plays and Tyler gets to thinking and checking into other shite is when it falls apart. That's why he generally moves it well in the first couple of drives in games.

So, I'm all for giving Tyler 3ish scripted drives, one for the start of the game, one for the start of the second half, and one hurry up drive. And let Dak have everything else. That would be making the most of everyone's talents IMO... and presumably keep LSU a little bit off balance...
