Good for you. I am just frustrated with the rising costs of even having property and stuff in Starkville and every time you turn around State wants more money just to get in the door.

Can't have success without this kinda thing happenin though.

That's what happens when the university and its AD become successful.

you have to spend $1,500 a year just to get almost decent football tickets

I have great seats on the lower section, home side and I only paid 825 for 2.

it's just not worth it anymore.

Welp....

Maybe we have a different definition of "decent". Sections 3 and 5 require a $350/seat donation then you buy the tickets. Section 4 is $450/per seat.

I have seats in section 7 up under the overhang. I was in the shade for every game this year.

I guess decent to you means you have to be on the 50.

Decent is between the 30s. Great is a 50.

Well if that's your qualifications for decent then you need to up the value of what you think decent costs.

We have some of the cheapest tickets in the country. This whole thread is stupid.

No kidding. You have "great seats" in section 7 which is behind the goal line. If you are beyond the goal line, you watch half the game on the video board.

Yeah i sat in the upper, behind the goal line part of 7 for the lsu game. Those seats sucked arse. We dont have a "great" seat anywhere in our stadium imo, because of sight lines.

I moved up in Section 3 this year. The look is better but I swear those rows are closer together than down lower. I was in row 11, Section 3 last and you are right there on the field. But, anything happening on the north end of the field, you watch on the video. Any play near side bench you don't see because the players are standing. Anything right if front of you, you can't see because the sideline camera is right in front of your line of sight.

Yeah I did, I'll admit. That was also before we got into great, good, decent debate, to which I'll still say my seats are above average.

I love mine, and will be there for however long until a club level / chairback slot opens up.

I sit in section 19 and love the view from my seats. I think my total cost for the 4 season tickets is around $1,750. I've got a friend with season tickets at LSU, and I think the same 4 seats in Tiger Stadium would cost close to $6,000. I'm not going to complain for a while.

I assume you are making the minimum donation with your seats so I would guess you are a few thousand a year short of getting on the list for Club Level seats.

You can assume whatever you like, but you would be incorrect in doing so.

This started out about the Dudy Noble rebuild. It would cost me an additional $1,700 or so each year for baseball for 3 years on top of the 1,500 football tickets on top of the $5,000 a year it costs to have a place in Starkville. Is it really worth all of that? Only I can decide that.

Very much a true statement.

It started out about Dudy Noble and then turned into people complaining about everything costing too much money, which was then countered with we have some of the cheapest tickets in the SEC. It may be your choice as to if it is worth it for you, but accusing it of being priced too high really isn't...

Correct, only you can decide what it's worth to you, but calling $5,000 a year for a place in Starkville expensive if you are spending football and baseball weekends up there is a little overboard in my opinion.

$5,000 are recurring costs not including the cost of the RV lot and the RV. Plus, RVs are notorious for drastic depreciation. Add another several thousand a year in depreciation.
