Every remaining team can beat us. We've only played one game so far for 4 full quarters-NW ST. Opponents will continue to take advantage of our lapses from the game in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs, until we rectify this problem, mentally.
We were on offense for less than 20 mins Saturday. 3 and outs are known to inspire an offense.

I mean, you're 4-2 and your only losses came against two undefeated, top ten teams. I don't know what y'all were expecting, but okay.
Yea I'm not bitching too much considering what we lost. We should beat UK and Mizzou and be 7-2 and ranked going into the Bama game

Apologies for a belated reply.
Offense has been a bit disappointing. I think a lot of this stems from a laok of a consistent running game, and an inability to sustain medium drives during the course of the game. It's almost a feast or famine type offense.
Defense has been awful to start games, and then exceptional to end games. While we give up yards, I don't feel as bad about it as I did last year. The main problem is lack of turnovers created. I do like the adjustments we seem to make, but it's frustrating that we sacrifice a quarter or so to make them.

We are #127 out of #128 in time of possession. Basically, our opponents have the ball about 1.6X as long as we do. 14.5 minutes per game is a huge difference.

Damn....Mullen is not doing Diaz any favors.

Easily our worst offense of the Muffin era since 2011, maybe even 2009.

We had these same symptoms last year. Too many quick drives putting our defense back on the field. It's nice to have an explosive offense, but you also need to be able to sustain a drive. I think this is caused by shotty play-calling.

Saw Richie Brown in a walking boot today on campus. Anyone know anything about that?

It's pretty common for different players to wear boots. It could keep a non-serious injury from getting worse and can speed up healing time.

shotty play-calling
It really does seem like after we reached #1 last year, our play calling went into the tank a bit, and we started calling plays and scheming as if we had more talent than the other teams.
Perhaps we lost a bit of edge at that point, idk.
Also, while we are complaining, at least now it is because (a) we are not losing to Maine and (b) our expectations have been raised. During the Croom era, and End of Sherrill eras we were happy for just a TD.
