Fitz isn't the problem. His emotions were the problem. 3 passing attempts, 2 dropped passes.

Fitz is a head case. Last year, he filled in well for one game. The true tell was when Dak had to come out for a play and he went in. When he came out after that one play like yesterday, he had a "Scared shitless" look on his face. None of our QBs are true leaders. That being said, It's definitely Tiano time. Maybe we eak out 3 wins. But if current qbs don't magically nut up or we don't get Thompson for next year, we will be boned for the many years to come.

You're wrong there, Tiano is a leader.

I just wish Mullen didn't put so much merit into being a senior.. That's all.. I think it should look more like Fitz at qb with a Gibson/Aeris dual RB set. This Damian Willams/ Holloway/Shumpert thing is pure garbage. Worst backfield we've had in 8 years.

Dude how do you know this? How do any of these old fricks know this on these message boards. We have no idea who Tiano is except that he couldn't win the job over the two worthless QBs we put out there yesterday.

I've heard the players hate Fitz. They say he is a whiny brat and parties too much, on top of the fact he is either gay or bisexual from what I've heard.

Very disappointing cause he has talent I had high hopes for him

It's what I've been told by people on and around the team.

I've also heard that he's mentally tough enough they really don't need to worry about him getting ruined or whatever.

That being said, Mullen knows more about QB's than we will ever learn, so we will see what he decides to do.

Jamal Peters just blocked me on Twitter for mistakenly tweeting that he missed a tackle in the first qtr yesterday. Tension in Starkville is rising

Why kill your own? I think msu has a slight fan problem.

You act like Mullen is a horrible coach. He isnt. You were ranked #1 for how long?

He developed Dak and how many other qbs? He isn't a bad coach.

My guess is Fitzgerald is in the dog house, or Mullen is trying teach him a lesson. Williams had the lead.... and Mullen felt the defense could hold.

Did he make a mistake? Maybe. But either way, you can't say the man doesn't know qbs.

To the guy that said "we knew Fitz couldn't do it from the ONE PLAY that he went in on for Dak...." Allow me to point out a guy MSU loves! Dak!

Dak was not the best in his start. Dak also called out the media on Fitzgerald and the other qbs. I believe he said that those qbs are way ahead of where he was.

I don't disagree with you. I do think the refusal to play the best players is frustrating though.

I don't give a frick who's a senior, but it's not just a Mullen thing. If the QB competition is close, I'm going with the youngest guy almost 100% of the time. We can't all be Alabama, competing for national titles with a new QB every year (Jalen Hurts is a freshman I know).

I agree with that. To me, let Fitz take the reins and go with him.

And I think it's frustrating to the players. It's as hard for an OL, receivers and the QB to get on the same page to produce with switching the QB out.

What I don't get is 32. Senior? Can not block .... horrible at reading the blitz an picking it up.

I didn't. That's what I'm trying to say. I tweeted his name just commenting about the game and he jumped in and got mad.

Everyone on this thread is missing the point that our starter is a man named Wyatt Robertson who has more game experience than any QB on the roster. He will make it into a game before this season is over

Our real problem Saturday is that the defense could not get them off of the field. I don't know what the clock time was, but we had 1 play (taking a knee at half) in about a 45 minute span. It is hard to get any rhythm going when you sit for long periods of time.

Williams had 8 drives. 2 TD's, 2 FG, 2 missed FG, and 2 punts. He did really well getting us in to place to win the game in 57 seconds.

He took a sack when we were at the 20 setting us up for a very long FG that we missed. That was a huge mistake because 3 there would have sealed the game. He threw the ball at receivers that had to look back into a very bright sun a couple of times. The passes were OK, but they were not good choices. Also, he had some nice runs, but quite frankly, Dak would have gone the distance on several of those plays, so he must not have very good speed.

Everyone is pointing at the QBs, but the real issue is our lack of RB production. Good RB play can solve a lot of ills. It may be an OL issue again, but we have seen this for 2 years now. Not good.

We killed 2 drives with holding calls. One was away from the play and really kept us from going up 21-0. Holding calls happen, but that one was just dumb.
